1 SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
1 OBJETIVO Y ALCANCE
instalacin a disear.
radiacin trmica y electromagntica, etc.
exigencias. As, una norma puede ser considerada
de Criterio a una Base de Diseo.
3 ELABORACIN
Design bases:
Data or input elements needed for the
development of design activities, functional and
performance requirements, defined by the client or
the environment, which the designed facilities
should comply with; these bases include all
particular aspects of the project that constitute
limitations or exemptions (technical and legal) to
the standards or good practices that rule the
design process.
For example: the maximum differential of
temperature for a stream of water, without
disrupting the ecosystem, imposes the minimum
volume of water needed to avoid excessive heat.
Other examples could be: noise level, toxic
emissions, electromagnetic and thermic radiations,
etc.
In practice the Design Bases constitute the wants
of the client, or his demands. Thus a norm can be
considered design bases instead of criteria.

eliminarse y/ o agregarse secciones de acuerdo a
los requerimientos de cada proyecto:
1. Alcance del Documento, Identificacin y
Descripcin del Proyecto.
2. Bases de Diseo - Informacin General (Ej.
Condiciones del sitio, vida til, precedencia
de documentos, fabricacin y materiales de
construccin, etc.).
3. Bases de Diseo - Procesos.
4. Bases de Diseo - Equipos.
5. Bases de Diseo - Tuberas.
6. Bases de Diseo - Civil.
7. Bases de Diseo - Electricidad.
8. Bases de Diseo - Instrumentacin.
