1. What is it?
The Building Information Model (BIM) fund aims to help firms to
adopt BIM technology into their work processes to improve their
productivity by defraying part of the cost incurred in training,
consultancy, software or hardware.
Applicants firm must be Singapore construction companies who are registered with BCA,
Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Singapore (ACRA), the Professional Engineers
Board Singapore (PEB), or the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA)
Applicants firm must be a member of an on-going or upcoming local construction project for the
purposes of putting BIM technology into practice. For the 1st application only, the applicants firm
may also use a past/completed project in place of the ongoing or upcoming project with a
minimum GFA of 100sqm.

The Firm Level Scheme supports individual firms to build up capability in BIM modeling,
visualization, value-added simulation and analysis and project documentation.
The Project Collaboration Scheme supports firms to build up capability in BIM project
collaboration in order to reduce design conflicts and costly reworks downstream.

*Project Collaboration scheme requires the involvement of a group of firms (min. 2 firms) of different
disciplines from unrelated firm. (e.g. Architect discipline from firm A teaming up with Engineer discipline
from firm B) to work on the same project using BIM technology
**A ONE TIME expenditure of manpower involved in setting up and implementing company BIM
deployment plan is now supported under the enhanced BIM fund.
**The fund will support 50% of the expenditure of manpower capped at $10K as part of funding for any of
the 4th to 6th application.
6. What are the completion criteria?
Applicant from a design discipline such as Architectural or Engineering shall make several BIM esubmissions via CORENET e-Submission system to at least a few key regulatory
authorities (applicable to consultant firms ONLY); For applications using past projects, no BIM e-
submission is required; Applicants only need to submit the model and documentations as part of
the claim.
Applicant is required to obtain and attend the BIM e-submission template session by
BCA (applicable to consultant firms ONLY);
Applicant shall send at least 1 staff to attend *BIM Modelling/Management skill courses offered by
BCA Academy or the respective BIM software vendor;
*BIM Modelling/Management skills course is to assess your knowledge of the tools, features, and common tasks of the respective BIM software.
Applicant who applies for expenditure of manpower is required to submit a deployment plan to
build up BIM capability within the firm;
Applicant is required to invite BCA officer(s) to attend at least 1 of the project coordination
meetings (applicable for applicant who applies for Project Coordination scheme).
7. How to apply?
Applicant is to submit the BIM funding application and get BCA in-principle approval first before
committing or signing any contract with the software vendor or service provider.

8. How to claim?
In principle, all funds will be disbursed on a reimbursement basis. The conclusive terms regarding
disbursement will be set out in the letter of offer and its annexes.
