COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course deals with the principles and techniques of nursing care management of sick clients across the life span with emphasis on adult and the

older person, population group in any setting with alterations/problems in oxygenation, fluid and electrolyte balance, metabolism and endocrine function.
ENTRY OF COMPETENCIES: NCM 102
TERMINAL COMPETENCIES: At the end of the course, given actual clients with problems in electrolyte balance, nutrition and metabolism, and endocrine function, the

student will be able to provide safe and quality nursing care to various clients through the utilization of the nursing process and the observation of the nursing standards in the
care of clients
