In order to continue with the class a students must have completed their
registration prior to the beginning of the second class session on May 18, 2015.
See Section 3 below for more information.

2. COURSE POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND EXPECTATIONS

DROP POLICY The last day to drop with an automatic grade of W Tuesday June 2,
2015. After that date, petitions for withdrawal will be ONLY to students doing passing
work at the time of the request.
CAMPUS-WIDE POLICIES - There are a number of campus-wide policies governing the
conduct of courses at IUPUI. These can be found at

be aware of IUPUI policies that govern the conduct of courses at IUPUI.
PROFESSIONALISM This is a capstone course where business students have an
opportunity to engage in final preparation for a successful entry into the world of
business. As such, an extremely high level of maturity and professionalism is
expected of students in J411. The conduct and expectations of the course are meant
to mirror as closely as possible the expectations of business professionals in the
corporate and entrepreneurial worlds. Thus, students in J411 will be held to a very
standard in the following areas
o Attendance & Punctuality // Students are expected to attend all classes in
a punctual manner
o Personal Responsibility // It is the responsibility of all J411 students to
create a situation where they can be successful / Students are expected to be
aware of all course and university deadlines, due dates and timelines
o Collective Responsibility // Students are expected to live up to the
promises and commitments they make to other students, especially those
with whom they are teamed in the simulation exercise / Please note that work,
social or other outside commitments are NOT cause to let other team
members down
o Proactive Behavior // Students are expected to be prepared for class
meetings and to submit all required materials on or before the date or time at
which they are due / Please be aware that short of a medical or family
emergency late work is NOT accepted for ANY reason
o Academic Integrity & Accountability // Students are expected to be aware
of all IUPUI Academic policies, procedures, standards and critical dates / It is
not the responsibility of the instructor to notify students of the academic
standards of the University

3. CAPSIM REGISTRATION
1. Visit http://www.capsim.com/
2. Click on Register
3. Watch the video tutorial for assistance and follow the instructions
4. When prompted for an Industry Number enter C71151
5. Be sure to register for both the Capstone Simulation and the COMP-XM
6. Use your credit card to complete the registration
7. You will now have access to online training material (additional material
will be distributed in class)
