MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Nehemiah 7-9; John 21
Monday, June 15
Eph. 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of his grace;
Forgiving, Redeeming Savior:
Many people I know suffer physical and emotional distress because of
unresolved sin. There can be no sweeter word to someone who is ridden with
guilt than forgiveness. I know many free persons who are incarcerated by their
iniquities. Pardon is the star that wants to shine into their cell, and give them a
gleam of hope in the midnight and mud of their depression.
Sin like theirs can be forgiven totally and forever. The anger, depression
and frustration they feel is only proof that hell awaits as the just and final
payment for all sin. There is no possibility of escaping as long as their sin remains
on them. Help me show __________ and __________ how their load of guilt
can be lifted, and their crimson stain removed by the cross!
Lord, help me loose the stones of their cellblock. Lord, help me lift the
doors from their hinges. Jesus, show me how I can get them the gospel and then,
Holy Spirit, prepare the opportunity and give me boldness to speak!
Pardon is not only possible, it is certain for all those who rest their case
with you, Jesus. I believe you to be my substitute in death because you were
crucified for me in life. Father, give them faith to believe for themselves, and to
see Christ crucified for them. Let me dedicate all my work this week to Jesus,
who became my payment and brought me redemption through his blood.
Help me display the riches of grace that forgiveness brings. How great my
sins were, but how precious the drops that cleansed me from them. And how
gracious the method of the gospel to make the result hit home with me! I am in a
maze of adoration. I bow before your throne and clasp the cross. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Esther 3-4; Acts 3
Thursday, June 18
Judges 3:9-10 And when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised
up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz,
Calebs younger brother. And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel, and
went out to war: and the Lord delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his
hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim.
Lift every voice and sing, till earth and Heaven ring,
Ring with the harmonies of liberty;
Let our rejoicing rise, high as the listening skies,
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on till victory is won.
Stony the road we trod, bitter the chastening rod,
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died;
Yet with a steady beat, have not our weary feet,
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
God of our weary years, God of our silent tears,
Thou Who hast brought us thus far on the way;
Thou Who hast by Thy might, led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS LIFE

Chronological Bible Reading: Nehemiah 10-13; Acts 1
Tuesday, June 16
John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Esther 1-2; Acts 2
Wednesday, June 17
Prov. 4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Dear Lord and Loving Savior:

I pray for those who do not yet know you.

There is a fullness of atoning effectiveness in your blood, because

the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:7). May many
apply it to their own hearts during our Summer of Outreach.

There is a fullness of righteousness in your life for anyone who is

lost, because there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus
(Rom. 8:1). Justify even the worst sinner by your grace.

There is a fullness of capacity in your ability, because he is able to save

them to the uttermost that come unto God by him (Heb. 7:25). Will you not save
from the furthest-most to the uttermost through my witness?

There is a fullness of victory available by your death, because through

death he destroyed him that had the power of death (Heb. 2:14). Rescue from death
my friends who are not saved! Bring them into the family with us.

There is a fullness of effectiveness in your resurrection, because by it

his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope (1 Pet. 1:3). Give many
the sure hope of eternal life this Sunday by their being born again.
This is a fullness of blessing in every shape and size, from a fullness of
grace to pardon my sins, a fullness of grace to make me born again, a fullness of
grace to sanctify me and remove what is left of the old man, a fullness of grace to
preserve me in your plan, and a fullness of grace to perfect me in your will.
Father, this is a prayer of thanksgiving as well as a plea. Let your abundant
mercy show today through me. Do it for Jesus sake. Amen.

Leading and Instructing Lord:

My heart praises you for all you are to me. I thank you for when you started
to deal with me even in my youth. I did not know you from childhood, but
looking back on it I know you were seeking me. And finally, like young Samuel, I
was spoken to by your Spirit. Then you carried me through the wilderness with
unchanging love and goodness. You called me and you carried me. You have
never forsaken me. You are faithful so I can live in faithfulness, and
Phil. 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in
you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Lord, I want to cling to you more tenaciously this year than ever.
Psa. 116:8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my
feet from falling.
I am brought low, but you help me. I oftentimes wander, but you restore
me. I am tried, but you preserve me. I am attacked, but you protect me. I have
found all your paths to be paths of pleasantness, and your ways to be ways of peace.
Gal. 6:17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of
the Lord Jesus.
I am your branded servant, both now and evermore. My ear is nailed to
your doorpost (Deut 15:17), to go out no more forever.
Psa. 118:27 God is the LORD, which hath showed us light: bind the sacrifice with
cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
Draw me ever closer when I suffer down here for you. Things I cannot give
to you (because you will not take them away) let me share with you. Make Jesus
as real in pain as in the pages of Holy Scripture, for then I am revived. Amen.

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: Esther 5-6; Acts 4
Friday, June 19

SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS

Chronological Bible Reading: Esther 7-8; Acts 5
Saturday, June 20

2 Chron. 15:7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work
shall be rewarded.
Almighty God and Gracious Redeemer:
How many times have we felt just like Israel in the Old Testament? Their
feet were feeble and they were stumbling in the way of the Lord with hesitating
hearts. But you told them you would be with them, if only they would strengthen
themselves. Sometimes I see it is up to me. It is up to me to be bold. It is up to
me to say something. If we are with you then you are with us, but if we forsake
you we leave you, and so we leave all means of real blessing, success, and
fruitfulness.
Such was the fate of Judahs sister kingdom, Israel. They fared ill in their
rebellion in the north, but you were gracious, even to them, when repentance was
shown. That is because your desire is always to confirm us in your ways, and use
us to give others the gospel. You deserve to be served with all the energy we
have. Help us get over and give it to you today.
If serving God is worth anything it is worth everything! If the gospel is
true it is worth our best efforts to preach it. We know we always find our best
reward in doing your will. But that reward will not come without determined
diligence and strengthening ourselves to be a testimony in our community.
1 Cor. 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the
Lord.
Halfhearted consecration is no consecration at all; so halfhearted work will
bring no reward at all. Let us throw the weight of our souls behind your word
Lord, and even accelerate through the storm. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Psa. 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Jesus, My Lord and King:
Your dominion is the entire world, and you always talk like I should expect
you to return at any moment to check on my stewardship of it.
Psa. 50:5-6 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with
me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah
I await your appearance today. Everything I own is your property. All that I
am given I did not really earn; it is of your grace. What a mistake to view my job
and my possessions in any other way.
You are a spiritual God, so you demand a spiritual life. You look for the
spiritual sacrifices of love, faith, and praise. You want the life of my heart and I
give it to you today, along with all these other gifts.
Psa. 50:23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his
conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.
I am not to be blamed for being poor, but for not adoring you with what I
have. Do not let me excel in the outward riches and fail in inward
contentment. Too many today are like that.
You see my heart. I pay you the love I promise: I do it right now with my
lips and when I leave this prayer closet I do it with my life. My loyalty is only
proven as I serve you. O for grace to do that! O that your Spirit would enable me
to love you and live-up to my profession. To some people it may seem a small
and expected thing to pray, but this is my sacrifice of worship to you.
Praise is the most acceptable sacrifice. I sacrifice my discontent on the
altar of thanksgiving in order to honor you. Give me grace so I can give you
glory. Be blessed with my life today, Jesus. Amen.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS

Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)

Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
