Journey To Adani Group of Companies

72 students along with the faculty members, Mr. Sameer Rohadia, Mr.
Ashish Bhatt, Mrs. Richa Sharma accompanied students.
Adani Group is a business behemoth based in India having a global
footprint with interests in Infrastructure, Power, Global Trading, Logistics,
Energy, Port & SEZ, Mining, Oil & Gas, Agriculture Business, FMCG products,
Real Estate Development, Bunkering, etc. It is a name well established among
the distinguished corporate entities of India, with a young and highly
motivated taskforce of professionals who are a prized asset of the
organization.

On first day of the visit, students visited the Adani Wilmer Oil Refinery
where they were given the idea about the refining process of different types of
oil. Also the computerized part of the plant was exhibited, which included the
automated packing system of the oil containers. After completing the visit to
the refinery, students were taken to the Mundra port, where over view of the
port was given and the instructor explained the working of different
machineries present on the port.

On the second day of the visit, students visited the West Port and Power
plant of Adani Group. The west port is mainly used for importing coal from the
coal mines of Adani Group at Indonesia, Australia and South Africa. There are
huge ware houses for storing coal which is then transferred to the Adani power
plant through an 11 km long conveyor belt. At Adani power plant the students
were explained the working of the thermal power station and also the use of
Information technology in this field. The entire session was interactive where
students enthusiastically absorbed the contribution of Management in one of
the largest Group of Asia.

Apart from the industrial visit, there were Yoga and Health Development
sessions organized by the Adani group. The trip proved to be a real success as
students not only found it interesting, enjoyable and informative but they
could also see themselves as the future pioneers for developing and promoting
innovative use of Management in day to day applications.
