As Saugerties residents, we share a love of
the area’s scenic beauty and long-standing
history. We have a common vision of a
livable village with a vital economy and
hospitable community. We all want our
hometown to be an affordable place where
we live and work in safety and comfort.
As citizens and taxpayers, we insist
that our Village government live
up to our own high standards:
Fiscally Responsible
We need to greater public scrutiny
to the budget process and steer the
Village out of spending deficits without
drastically reducing services.
Fair
The rules and regulations of the Village
are not “just a guide.” Village government
should be by the book & aboveboard.
Friendly
Village government should be inclusive,
and Village services should be responsive
to the needs and concerns of residents.
Your Voice in the Community
The time has come for a second political
party in the village. The current
single party system stifles reform and
accountability. The Democratic Party
represents the values of the citizens of
Saugerties. Together, we can voice our
concerns and shape the future of Saugerties.
Election for Village Board of Trustees
On Tuesday, March 16th, three trustee
positions will be up for election.
The Democratic candidates want to
listen to the citizens of Saugerties
and aim to reform Village Hall.
