analyses for various aerospace structures in COBRA (2nd Generation Reusable
Launch Vehicle), HYFLY (Supersonic Missile), NMD (National Missile Defense) and
IPD (Integrated PowerHead Demonstration) programs. Modeled and analyzed
combustor, gas generator, pre-burner, injector chamber, fuel and ox pumps,
nozzles, thrust structures, diffuser plate, coolant liner, 2D/3D bolted joints, bracket
and composite pressure vessels under structural, thermal and dynamic loads.
Developed computer codes in FORTRAN, C and DELPHI for in-house applications
such as mapping temperature profile from Pthermal model result into ANSYS model,
converting ANSYS element types into equivalent NASTRAN element types,
calculating overall deformation of a specified component from FEA result, etc.

FINITE ELEMENT ANALYST: Worked as engineering consultant. Completed over
twenty finite element projects for various industries. Used ANSYS and FLOTRAN to
perform structural, thermal, dynamic and CFD analyses. These analyses include
geometric and material non-linearites, static, transient, plasticity, buckling, contact,
dynamics, impact, modal, harmonic response, random vibration, shock, viscous fluid
flow and heat transfer. Developed many computer codes in C and FORTRAN for in-
house applications such as mapping thickness of an object from measured data or
result from C-MOLD model into finite element shell model, mapping temperature
profile from Pthermal model into ANSYS model, converting FORTRAN codes to C
code.

• Development of the commercial windows-based software, CableLAB. Developed
and implemented finite element algorithms to simulate lab tests for cables, ropes,
and flexible pipe subject to various loads such as Tension, Twist, Bending, Thermal,
Pressures, etc.
• Complete development of the commercial windows-based cable design software,
CableCAD (product on www.CableCad.com). Developed theory and implemented
finite element algorithms for stress analysis of cables, ropes and flexible pipe.
• Development of a Robust, Low-Cost Interface for Optical Fibers Embedded in
Composite Structures. Used ANSYS to optimize cavity shapes used for embedded
fibers to minimize stress concentration.
• Computer Aided Design, Finite Element and CFD analyses for Satellite Tracking

Pedestal. Used FLOTRAN (CFD) to determine wind loads on antennas and structures.
Used ANSYS to perform solid modeling, static, modal and shock analyses. Analyzed
stress and reaction force outputs due to wind and seismic loads for component
designs, i.e., select proper materials and sizes for components including motors,
bearings and counter weights.
• Computer Aided Design, Non-Linear Material and Geometric Finite Element and
CFD analyses for Undersea Composite Pressure Hulls. Phase I: Development of new
geometry concepts for Composite Hulls. Designed, fabricated and tested
prototypes. Phase II: Designed, fabricated and tested a pressure hull for industrial
application (see publications below for more details).
• Used I-DEAS to perform finite element modeling and analyses for Submarine
Simulator and Ship. Naval Training System Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

mostly with ANSYS, some with I-DEAS, and the computational fluid dynamics
software, FLOTRAN. Familiarity with UG AutoCAD/Inventor and SolidWorks CAD
Software.
 Have been practicing computer programming since 1980. Proficient with many
computer languages including FORTRAN, DELPHI, PASCAL, C, JAVA and MATLAB.
 Knowledge of MS Office, WordPerfect, SigmaPlot and Havard Graphics. Able to
