Room 15s Assembly

Our assembly was hard and fun to practise. We sang a song called
Inanay which is an Aboriginal lullaby. We also did a play called How the
Bird Got Their Colours and I had the main part. I was a dove. We had to
do a lot of work before the assembly. We made a banner and it spelt
RECONCILIATION and we put one letter on each piece of paper with
some words underneath. I did the L. Evee

Museum Residency Museum Excursion
Years 3 and 4 students from Rooms 14, 15 and 16 visited the Museum on 17 June to learn
about local Noongar culture and lifestyle. There was a display of the plants, animal skins
and other artefacts. Mrs Vernice Gillies, a Noongar elder, gave a very interesting talk and
the students found about the food people ate and how they obtained it and also about their
clothing, shelter and language.
Later they went on the Brig Amity and learnt some things about the first Europeans
settlers in Albany.
