Getting Started

Load Battery

Measuring of Cover and Rebar Diameter

To install the battery, remove the

protection foil and lift the stand
as shown. Insert the battery and
fasten in place with the screw.
The battery must first be charged 8 hours before using.
A Quick charger is available (full charging < 5.5 h).
Connect the Universal Probe to one
of the sockets on the upper side of
the Profometer Touchscreen Unit
using the Probe Cable.

Measurement

When Measurement is selected for the first time after

switching on the instrument, the probe must be zeroed. The
message Start zeroing probe automatically appears on the
screen, just tap OK to proceed.

Press Power On/Off to power on.

On start up, the main menu is
displayed. All functions may
be accessed directly via the
Touchscreen.

Settings

Because all measurements must start with Locating Mode

to locate and to mark the rebar arrangement on the concrete
structure, the following settings refer to the Locating Mode
only. For subsequent measurements in other modes refer to
the Operating Instructions.
Tap Settings, select the Range Selection Auto and insert
the Rebar Diameter of the first layer. If not known, set 16 mm
(# 5). Select the unit under Unit. Go back to the main menu
and tap Measurement.
NOTE! The settings must be checked prior to each
measurement.

NOTE! Remove all metallic objects such as rings and

watches before you start measuring.
Select Locating Mode.
Hold the probe cart with the Center
Line 16 parallel to the assumed
direction of the rebar to be scanned.
When the Center Line is precisely
over the rebar (the red LED of the
Measurement Center 14 is lit) you may
measure the diameter either by a short
push on 13 or by tapping on 6 .

Measuring in corners
Use the integrated Spot Probe for
measurements in corners and where
space is limited.
Remove the probe from the cart
to measure in corners.

Save/Review Data
Tap
to store the diameter and cover measurement and
. The saved readings can be seen in the
confirm with
Snapshot and normal Statistics Views.
To display stored data, push the Back Button to go back to
the main menu and tap Explorer.

Inbetriebnahme

Einlegen des Akkus

Zum
Einlegen

Akku aufladen

Der Akku muss vor dem Gebrauch 8 Stunden aufgeladen

werden. Ein Schnellladegert (kompletter Ladevorgang
<5.5h) ist lieferbar.

Messung

Wenn zum ersten Mal nach dem Einschalten des Gerts

Messung ausgewhlt wird, muss die Sonde genullt werden.
Die Meldung Nullung der Sonde einleiten wird automatisch
angezeigt. Zum Besttigen auf OK tippen.

Ermittlung der Betondeckung und Messung

des Stabdurchmessers
HINWEIS! Legen Sie vor Beginn des Messvorgangs alle
metallischen Objekte wie Ringe und Armbanduhren ab.

Sonde verbinden

Modus Ortung auswhlen.

Gert einschalten

Sondenwagen mit der Mittellinie 16

parallel zur vermuteten Richtung des zu
scannenden Bewehrungsstabs halten.
Wenn sich die Mittellinie exakt ber dem
Bewehrungsstab befindet (die rote LED
des Messmittelpunkts 14 leuchtet), kann
der Durchmesser durch kurzen Druck auf
13 oder durch Tippen auf 6 gemessen
werden.

Universalsonde mittels Sonden

kabel mit einer der Buchsen an
der Oberseite des Profometer
Touchscreens verbinden.
Zum Einschalten Ein-/Aus-Taste
drcken.
Beim Einschalten wird das

Einstellungen

Da alle Messungen im Modus Ortung beginnen sollten, um

die Stabanordnung zu orten und auf dem Betonbauwerk
zu markieren, gelten die nachstehenden Einstellungen nur
fr den Modus Ortung. Informationen ber anschliessende
Messungen in anderen Modi entnehmen Sie bitte der
Bedienungsanleitung.
Auf Einstellungen tippen, den Messbereich Auto
auswhlen und den Stabdurchmesser der ersten Lage
eingeben. Ist dieser nicht bekannt, 16 mm (# 5) einstellen.
Unter Einheit die Einheit whlen. Zurck ins Hauptmen
wechseln und auf Messung tippen.
HINWEIS! Die Einstellungen mssen vor jeder Messung
berprft werden.

Messung in Ecken
Die integrierte Punktsonde dient zu
Messungen in Ecken und bei engen
Platzverhltnissen.
Sonde zur Messung in Ecken aus dem
Wagen entnehmen.

Daten speichern/anzeigen
Auf
tippen, um die Durchmesser- und Deckungsmessung
besttigen. Die gespeicherten
zu speichern, und mit
Messwerte werden in der Schnappschuss- und in der normalen Statistikansicht angezeigt.
Zur Anzeige der gespeicherten Daten mit der Zurcktaste

Pour installer la batterie, retirez le

film de protection et soulevez le
support comme indiqu. Insrez
la batterie et fixez avec la vis.

Chargement de la batterie

Mesure de lenrobage et du diamtre darmature mtallique

Avant de pouvoir utiliser lappareil, la batterie doit dabord

tre charge pendant 8 heures. Un chargeur rapide est
disponible (temps de chargement complet < 5.5 h).

Dmarrage de lappareil
Appuyez sur le bouton Marche/
Arrt pour mettre lappareil sous
tension.
Au dmarrage, le menu principal
saffiche. Toutes les fonctions

lcran tactile.

Paramtres

tant donn que toutes les mesures doivent commencer

avec Locating Mode (Mode Localisation) afin de localiser
et de marquer la disposition des armatures mtalliques sur
la structure en bton, les paramtres suivants sappliquent
uniquement au mode Localisation. Pour dautres mesures
dans dautres modes, veuillez vous reporter aux instructions
dutilisation.
Tapotez sur Paramtres, dans la rubrique Slection de
plage slectionnez Auto et entrez le diamtre darmature
mtallique du premier lit. Si vous ne connaissez pas cette
valeur, entrez 16 mm. Slectionnez lunit sous Unit.
Revenez au menu principal et tapotez sur Mesure.
REMARQUE! Les paramtres doivent tre vrifis avant
chaque mesure.

Une fois que Measurement (Mesure) est slectionn pour

la premire fois aprs la mise sous tension de lappareil,
la sonde doit tre remise zro. Le message Start
zeoring probe (Lancer remise zro sonde) saffiche
automatiquement lcran ; tapotez sur OK pour continuer.

REMARQUE! Avant de commencer la mesure, enlevez tous

les objets mtalliques tels que les bagues et les montres.
Slectionnez Mode Localisation.
Maintenez le support de sonde avec
la LC 16 parallle au sens prsum de
larmature balayer.
Une fois que la ligne centrale est
exactement au-dessus de la barre
mtallique (la DEL rouge du centre de
mesure 14 est allume), vous pouvez
mesurer le diamtre soit par une brve
pression sur 13 , soit en tapotant sur 6 .

Misurazione

Se si seleziona Misurazione per la prima volta dopo

laccensione dello strumento, la sonda deve essere
azzerata. Il messaggio Avvia azzeramento sonda appare
automaticamente sullo schermo. Premere OK per
continuare.

La batteria deve innanzitutto essere caricata per 8 ore prima

delluso. Un caricatore rapido disponibile (carica completa:
<5.5ore).

Misurazione negli angoli

Utilizzare la sonda spot integrata per
misurare negli angoli e laddove lo
spazio limitato.

Impostazioni

Dato che tutte le misure devono essere avviate con la

modalit di localizzazione che consente di localizzare e
marcare la disposizione delle barre darmatura nellelemento
in calcestruzzo, le seguenti impostazioni si riferiscono solo a
tale modalit. Per le misure nelle altre modalit rimandiamo
alle istruzioni duso.
Premere Impostazioni, selezionare Selezione campo
Automatico e inserire il diametro dellarmatura del primo
strato. Se non noto, impostare 16 mm (# 5). Selezionare
lunit di misura sotto Unit. Tornare al menu principale e
premere Misurazione.
NOTA! Le impostazioni devono essere verificate prima di
ogni misurazione.

Togliere la sonda dal carrello per

misurare negli angoli.

Salvataggio e visualizzazione dei dati

Premere
per salvare il copriferro e il diametro misurati
. I valori salvati possono essere
e confermare con
visualizzati nelle viste Istantanea e Statistica normale.

Configuracin

Ya que cualquier medicin se deber comenzar con el modo

Localizar para localizar y marcar la disposicin de barras en
la estructura de hormign, la siguiente configuracin slo se
refiere al modo Localizar. Para mediciones consecutivas en
otros modos, consultar el manual de instrucciones.
Tocar Configuracin, seleccionar la seleccin de rango
Auto e introducir el dimetro de barra o de la primera capa.
Si no se conoce, ajustar 16 mm (# 5). Seleccionar la unidad
en Unidad. Regresar al men principal y tocar Medicin.
NOTA! Se deber comprobar la configuracin antes de
cada medicin.

Medicin:

Al seleccionar Medicin la primera vez despus de encender

el instrumento, la sonda se deber poner a cero. El mensaje
Iniciar puesta a cero de sonda aparecer automticamente
en la pantalla; slo tocar Aceptar para proceder.

Medicin de cobertura y dimetro de barra

NOTA! Quitarse todos los objetos metlicos, tales como
anillos y relojes, antes de comenzar con la medicin.
Seleccionar el modo Localizar.
Sujetar el carro de sonda con la Lnea
central 16 paralela a la direccin
asumida de la barra que se habr de
escanear.
Si la Lnea central est exactamente
encima de la barra (el LED rojo del
Centro de medicin 14 est encendido),
se podr medir el dimetro o bien
mediante un pulsado breve en 13 o
tocando 6 .

Usar la sonda puntual integrada para
mediciones en esquinas y espacios
confinados.
Quitar la sonda del carro para medir
en esquinas.

Guardar/revisar datos
Tocar
para almacenar el dimetro y la medicin de

Como todas as medies devem ser iniciadas com o

OBSERVAO! As configuraes devem ser verificadas
antes de cada medio.

Medio

Quando Medio selecionado pela primeira vez depois

que se liga o instrumento, deve ser realizada a zeragem
da sonda. A mensagem Iniciar a zeragem da sonda
automaticamente aparece na tela, selecione OK para
continuar.

Medio de camada e dimetro de vergalho

OBSERVAO! Remova todos os objetos metlicos
como anis e relgios antes de iniciar a medio.
Selecione Modo de localizao.
Segure o carro com a linha central
16 paralela direo presumida do
vergalho a ser escaneado.
Quando a linha central estiver exatamente sobre o vergalho (o LED vermelho do centro de medio 14 est
aceso), voc poder medir o dimetro
apertando brevemente 13 ou selecionando 6 .
