Description:

HEMPEL'S TOPAZ MATT EMULSION 588ME is a quality finish coat with good opacity and
washability based on Acrylic Copolymer.

Area of use:

Interior, exterior walls, ceilings and partitions where an attractive flat finish is desired.

A practical spreading rate will depend on the actual dry film thickness, the nature of the substrate and
the relevant consumption factor.

Surface condition:

The surface should be stable, firm, dry and free from dust, sand, loose old paint, laitance, dirt,
grease and oil. It is recommended to apply a primer/sealer prior to the application of specified filler.
Touch-up with primer/sealer on areas repaired with filler is recommended prior to application of
topcoats.

HEMPEL'S TOPAZ SOLVENT BASED PRIMER - 26630 or

HEMPEL'S TOPAZ HI-SEAL - 28830

Filling:

HEMPELs TOPAZ INTERIOR FILLER - 38840 or

HEMPELS TOPAZ EXTERIOR FILLER -38900

Remarks:

Use only where application and drying can proceed at temperatures above 5C, preferably above
10C and relative humidity is below 75%.
Other sealer/filler types may be specified.
Drying data given is on the assumption that proper ventilation is provided.

Storage and Handling:

Product must be stored as per local regulations, and should be kept in dry and ventilated location,
far from heat and direct sunlight. Cans should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use.

Handle with care. Before and during use, observe all safety labels on packaging and paint
containers, consult HEMPEL Material Safety Data Sheets and follow all local or national safety
regulations. Avoid inhalation, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and do not swallow. Take
precautions against possible risks of fire or explosions as well as protection of the environment.
Apply only in well ventilated areas.
