Collection of household garbage
is performed twice a week on
the following two days: Monday/
Thursday; Tuesday/Friday; or
Wednesday/Saturday. Each
home (1, 2, & 3 family only) is
issued one official garbage
collection sticker by the Tax
Assessors Office. The sticker
must be placed on the
household garbage container.
Additional stickers are available
for a fee.

the street, or you may place
your garbage containers on
the curb. If you choose to place
your container at the curb for
pick-up, you are responsible
for removing the container
from the curb after pick-up.

 ontainers cannot exceed
48 gal. or 60 lbs. of garbage.

4. All garbage must be bagged


and placed inside the
covered container.
5. C
 overed containers must be
placed outside the night before
the scheduled pick-up.
6. Remove the empty container
from the curb after each
collection.

2015 Bulk Pick-Up
Information and Schedule
Our Towns Bulk Pick-Up
program helps homeowners
dispose of the household
items that appear on the
Acceptable Household Bulk
List. Items must be brought
to the homeowners curb
no earlier than the weekend
before the Bulk Pick-Up
Schedule date and no later
than the night before the
scheduled pick-up. Loose
items should be bagged
or bundled.
Contractors who work in
your home are responsible
for removing all debris that
results from their work.
Electronic Recycling
Please note that electronic
equipment, including
televisions and computers,
will not be picked up by the
garbage carters. You may
dispose of your electronic

equipment at the Rockland

Acceptable Household Bulk List
Single unit of refrigerators
and freezers (doors removed),
dishwashers, washing machines,
dryers, water heaters, and
room air conditioners.

Limited quantities of: sofas (1),
chairs (2), storm/screen windows
(10), interior doors (4), reasonable
quantities of tightly rolled and
tied carpeting, padding, scrap
lumber, paneling, or linoleum
in neat stacks no more than
6 feet long, 5 feet wide, and
3 feet high.
and
No more than (2) 5 foot bundles,
less than 50lbs. each, of do it
yourself or home remodeling
debris, such as electrical or
plumbing fixtures, plaster board,
wall board, or ceramic tiles.
