RISK ASSESSMENT / Use of Special Tools

This assessment details the arrangements in place to control the hazards present from the use of tools and equipment that require specific training or competency to operate, due to their complexity or the significant risk created during
their operation.
Persons at Risk: Machine operators and other persons in close proximity
A = Hazard Severity
B = Likelihood
C = Risk Rating (A x B)

5 fatality
5 Very Likely
Extreme = 17+

Frequency and Duration of Exposure: Throughout duration of use

4 Major Injury
4 Likely
High + 12 - 16

3 Chronic Injury
3 Possible
Medium = 7 - 11
