The responsibility and commitment of PHILSAGA Mining Corporation to
Safety is reflected in the Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) Policy Statement duly signed by the incumbent President. This ESH Policy is posted in the Bulletin Boards located in strategic locations in the mine site and all its satellite and//or special project sites as follows: The Management of PHILSAGA Mining Corporation is committed to conduct its business in a responsible and safe manner, thereby protecting the environment and the health, safety and well being of its employees, partners, stakeholders and the general public in the communities where it operates. The responsible development of God-given resources is the Managements and employees collective commitment and corporate responsibility. This commitment shall be enforced by: 1. Mining and processing the ore from the underground workings in full compliance with all applicable laws and other requirements. 2. Adopting and maintaining industry best practices during its exploration, development, exploitation and post-mine rehabilitation phases. 3. Implementing and continually improving sound ESH management system and managing risks that could compromise human life, cause accidents, injury or illness to people. 4. Ensuring and closely monitor all activities involving hot works and other related procedure that may lead to fire or damage to property or unacceptable impacts to the environment or community. 5. Integrating Health, Safety and Environment considerations in the
preparation of project strategies, plans and budgets.
6. Developing and implementing initiatives and/or measures that ensure the safety and wellness of the employees and the adjoining impacted communities and its inhabitants. 7. Striving for zero incidents/accidents, injuries and losses in all its activities. 8. Operating and maintaining the mines tails and waste facilities (environmental structures) in a manner that is safe and in full compliance will all local and national environmental legislations. 9. Ensuring that front-line Supervisors take the direct hand in pursuing the safety, environment and health and loss control objectives in the
organization with all the employees being equally responsible for
controlling accidents on and/or off the job. 10. No business objective shall take priority over safety and health. 11. Contribute to sustainable development. In the pursuit of the foregoing tasks, the PSMC Management and its employees shall seek the cooperation and participation of all stakeholders of whom a genuine and lasting partnership built-around responsible mining and sustainable development shall be established and maintained.
