 Commenced employment August 2009. Work entails that of Claims Consultant and QS matters concerning a
1.7 Billion QAR (Approx 305Million pounds Sterling) Contract for the Doha North Sewage Pipeline contract
Qatar Middle East, technical aspects of work in brief consists of sinking and construction of shafts, tunnelling
and excavation works. Companies role is that of main contractor. Contract ended Feb 2010 due to project going
non contractual and for political reasons. Four references can be supplied.

Employed as Member of Staff in the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator 2007/2009

NASS Mechanical Bahrain (Contractor), Middle East


 Commenced employment February 2007, left employment Feb 09

Main duties were that of quantity surveying, contract administration, and claims. Administered around 60
contracts, 8 of which were medium sized projects of around $10M each. The rest were mainly small
works of various costs. The vast majority of these works were steel fabrication/steel work.
However two of the larger projects one was (at the time) the biggest desalination plant
(desalination unit work) and the other was the Hidd Power plant Station in Bahrain (gas turbine and
and piping work). The majority of the contractual relationships were that of a sub contractor and
with several that of a main contractor. Contracts used in the majority of cases were bespoke with
several being FIDIC.

AEB (Afval Energie Bedrijf, means waste sewage company)


 Employed in the role of Cost Engineer/Measurement Engineer from Sep 2006, work entails that of
measurement of steel and cost engineering of a €24M steel contract associated with the building of
a new waste energy plant in Sloterdijk Holland. Task successfully completed early February 2007.
Handed notice in and left for employment above.
Employed as a contractor in the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor 2005/2006

First Engineering (Rail)


 Employed in the role of quantity surveyor from June 2006 to Sep 2006 in FE facilities department, first task
given was the sorting out of FE billing system, this has been completed. Worked also on tenders with most of the
work being estimating. Decided to move on as FE could only justify another months work or so for me.
Work entailed using Concept and IFS financial packages, also Lotus applications.

Vital Rail
 Employed in the role of quantity surveyor between July 2005 and June 2006.
Started employment after the completion of the work phase concerning the fixed
telecom network contract on the West of Scotland Railways. Task was to settle final accounts with
the main contractor. The main contractor being Amec, the final accounts being settled satisfactory, despite the
fact that there was no financial control when the work was on going. The job was well done
concerning the circumstances, I was responsible for 99% of all the work, dealings and negotiations
concerning the financial close out of this job. Also employed on other final account work and
misc cost engineering tasks.

Bluewater Energy Services B.V.


 Employed in the role of Cost Engineer/Contracts Administrator from Jan 04, concerning the installation of
Water Injection Plant and Repair Lifetime Extension of FPSO Haewene Brim (floating oil extraction vessel in the
North Sea) the construction phase was at Hebburn Shipyard Tyneside. Moved up to Aberdeen in late Oct 04 and
then Hoofdorp Holland in Feb 2005 to close out the job commercially, contract completed on 1st June 2005.
Other duties on the project included being part of the management safety assessment team.

Employed as a contractor in role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor 2002/2004

Morgan Utilities
 Employed on eighteen month contract, between Aug 2002 and Dec 2003 concerning the
upgrading/rehabilitation of water pipes in the East of Scotland. Duties consisted of QS work, settling final
accounts.
