Lighting, an integral part of our lives, is broadly categorized as for homes, public places, streets, automobiles, signals,
industrial and airports. A variety of lamps available in the market have made this possible. ERDA is involved in the type
testing of lamps - GLS, Fluorescent, HPMV, HPSV, CFL and LED based lamp and related products like ballasts,
luminaires and starters for over two decades. The test facilities are accredited by the National Accreditation Board for
Testing & Calibration Laboratories (NABL), Govt. of India and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). ERDA is also involved
in the development of some of these products.
