INTRODUCTION
The information you are about to receive from this reading of
your Odu, which was revealed during Itenifa ( Ifa initiation) is
the workings of the dynamic forces within you, which were
formed by your emanation and at the point of your existence
on this terrestrial plane. Also, it bothers on the cosmic forces
that are spiritual and beyond your control.
The dynamic forces are your potentials, natural qualities and
strength of your character to be controlled in order to
strengthen your public image and boost your popularity.
Whereas, the cosmic forces or components are from Ayanmo,
Akunleyan and Akunlegba, these three components are
loosely described as Destiny or Heavenly gift/virtues.
The Ayanmo is interplay to forces, which are usually divine,
and in consonant with the inventive precepts of Olodumare
(The Almighty God of creation). Ayanmo of your life cannot be
changed. Once you are created with it, it remains so till the
expiration of your life on this planet earth. Ayanmo includes
sex of an individual, race, family, parent, growth, and other
natural rules of which an individual must tow and obey.

Akunleyan are the virtues and values chosen in heaven

consequent upon your actions/activities in your previous
evolution or existence. They are actually things chosen by you
and most of the time form your likes and dislikes or taboo.

Akunlegba are the gifts or virtues added by various Irunmole

at the presence of Onibode (celestial sentinel) in heaven or
just before you emanate into the world. They are like spices,
additives, preservatives, and vehicles of propagation of
Ayanmo and Akunleyan or things that complement the
Akunleyan in order to fulfill your destiny on earth.
The reading of your Odu helps to determine or reveal your
talent limitations, assets, shortcomings, possibilities and
probabilities. You should use the appropriate ebo (sacrifice)
which has same polarity and magnetism to your Odu in order
to discover love, fortune health, hope, happiness, fulfilment in
life and longevity.
You should also avoid such things, which may hinder your
talents, or discoveries by observing your taboos as explained
to you during your Itenifa (Ifa initiation)
Pre-initiation Divination (dwgbd)
Pre-initiation divination (Adawogbodu) is usually done before a
would-be initiate enters the Ifa grove. The essence of this
divination is to reveal the present situation of things about the
person. It states further and justifies the need or necessity for
the initiation. Sometimes, a clue or hint is revealed about any
unforeseen problems that may arise in the course/process of
initiation. Sometimes too it gives a guide or direction to be
followed or observed during the initiation.

The appropriate ebo (sacrifice) is done immediately, so that a

hitch free initiation is achieved, and to correct or amend any
sad or ugly occurrences that might have beset the would-be
initiate.

Post Initiation Divination (ta)

Ita, in simple translation means the post initiation divination
usually done on the third day of Itenifa (Ifa Initiation). The
significance of Ita is to reveal the situation of things
surrounding the initiate which may likely happen in the near
future. It acts as a support to the Odu revealed at initiation.
Through this divination, a babalawo is told by Ifa if all the
rituals and rites of initiation had been divinely endorsed by
the Irunmole and ultimately by God.
Ita, also re-emphasises and re-validates certain messages that
are sacrosanct in the main Odu reveal at initiation.
Sacrifices (ebo) are made immediately in order to engender
good tidings and possibly prevent any unhealthy occurrence
that may arise in the near future.

feed Ifa with eight rats, eight fish and two hens. On this, Ifa

of childbearing. This blessing is one of the several others that

you have been assured from heaven. Ifa advises you to offer

snails and money. you also need to feed Obatala with sheabutter, chalk, eight snails, ten yards of white clothes, and so
on.

Ifa says that through you many people will be initiated
into Ifa and through you several others will become Ifa
devotees. Ifa says that it is part of your destiny to lead and
guide others on the right path. Ifa advises you to offer ebo
with two roosters, two hens, and money. you also need to
feed Ifa with eight rats, eight fish and one hen. You must be
an Ifa ambassador at all times. On this, Ifa says:

Ifa says that this uprising is already on its way if it had not
occurred already. Ebo materials: three roosters, three hens
and money. you also need to feed the elders of the night with
two Okete, giant rat and feed Ifa with one matured she-goat.

order to overcome enemies and uprising. The ebo materials
here are six roosters, six hens, 200 pebbles and money. part
of these materials will be used to feed Sango as appropriate.

with one guinea-fowl.

business. If you cannot do this, allow your wife to be selling
the beads. Bead sales has the propensity to open the doors of
opportunities for you. Ebo materials, three pigeons, three

pigeon and one guinea-fowl.

the elders of the night. Ifa says that you have experienced
suffering before. This is the time that you are going to be
blessed with prosperity. And this is the time for you to offer
ebo so that the elders of the night will not spoil your things.
Ebo materials; one matured he-goat, one strong rope for tying
goat, and money. you also need to feed the elders of the
night as prescribed by Ifa.

11. Ifa says that you will beget a female child whom you
need to continuously offer ebo for in order to prevent her from
dying as an abiku. Ifa says that doing this will ensure that the
child does not die prematurely. Ifa advises you to offer ebo for

this daughter with one matured he-goat and money. on this,

12. Ifa says that there is the tendency for you to give birth to
children of only one sex. For example, if you give birth to a
female child as your first child there is the possibility that all
your children will be female. And if your first child is a male,
you stand the chance of giving birth to all male children. If
you plan to give birth to both sexes there is the need for you
to offer ebo for it. The ebo materials here are two Okete,
giant rats, two hens and money. One of the Okete will be used
to feed Ifa together with one hen.

is in the domain of Ifa and for this reason you need to hold on
to Ifa and Ifa will help you to achieve your heart desire. Ebo
materials: one matured she-goat, two guinea-fowls, two
pigeons, two hens and money. you also feed Ifa with one shegoat, eight rats and eight fish. On this, Ifa says:

Odu, la cual fue revelada durante Itenifa (Iniciacin Ifa) es el
trabajo de las fuerzas dinmicas que se encuentran en usted,

punto de su existencia en este plano terrenal. Tambin, afecta
a las fuerzas csmicas que son espirituales y estn fuera de
su control.

Las fuerzas dinmicas son sus potenciales, cualidades

Pre Adivinacin (dwogbd)

La Pre Adivinacin (dwogbd) es usualmente hecha

antes de que un pretendiente iniciado sea aceptado en la
tribu Ifa. La esencia de esta adivinacin es para revelar la
situacin presente de los asuntos de la persona. Muestra ms
all y justifica la obligacin o la necesidad de la iniciacin.
Algunas veces, una pista o un dato es revelado acerca de
problemas imprevistos que pueden aparecer en el
camino/proceso de iniciacin. Algunas veces tambin, provee
una gua de la direccin que debe ser seguida u observada
durante la iniciacin.

El Ebo apropiado (sacrificio) es hecho inmediatamente, para

que sea alcanzada una iniciacin libre de sobresaltos, y para
corregir cualquier o enmendar cualquier ocurrencia triste o
desagradable que pueda asechar al aspirante a iniciado.

Adivinacin Post Iniciacin (ta)

ta, traducido simple significa la adivinacin despus de la

iniciacin usualmente hecha al tercer da del Itenifa (iniciacin
Ifa). La importancia de ta se encuentra en la revelacin de las
situaciones que rodean al iniciado las cuales pueden ocurrir
en el futuro cercano. Acta como un soporte para el odu
revelado en la iniciacin. A travs de esta adivinacin, se le
revela al Babalao mediante Ifa si todos los rituales y ritos de la
iniciacin han sido divinamente aceptados por el Irumole y por
ltimo por Dios.

ta, tambin re enfatiza y re valida ciertos mensajes que son

sacrosantos en el Odu principal en la iniciacin.

Sacrificios (Ebo) son hechos inmediatamente para engendrar

arreglas positivos y posiblemente prevenir cualquier
eventualidad poco saludable que pueda surgir en el futuro
cercano.

Ifa le asegura a usted que no hay cosa en la tierra que usted
