UTS Pedagogy:
UTS offers complete solutions to its business partners for the flexible/open learning programs. UTS handles the
back-end and front-end operations on behalf of its business partners.
Back-end operations include designing the course material and acquiring necessary accreditation.
Front-end operations involve managing student life cycle which includes interacting with students for the study
support, practice tests, result analysis, final examination, certification and placement support.
UTS' teaching management system platform consists of the credit unit system, the elective system & the system of
flexible length of study. Entire On-line Distance Learning (ODL) cycle of the student is managed by UTS Head
Office in following steps and

Center should be taking admissions as per the guidelines, examination cycle specified and announced by the
certifying university or the institutions.
The center head shall verify the admission form, all the documents along with prescribed fees by the
University.
The center will be sending the student Admission forms along with the supporting documents and the fee amount
to UTS HO at Pune.
Once the duly completed Admission Forms with fee amount is received, UTS upon verification will forward
the same to the University and provide access to the student for the learning management system.
It will be informed to the student to access the assignments and the e-learning content.
UTS will be dispatching the course material like Registration Letter/Registration Number, ID-Card and Study
Material etc to the students enrolled via courier/ speed post.
Centers shall do the promotional activities as advised by UTS representatives from time-to-time to generate
enrolments for the center.
All fees transactions are to be done via DD/CC/ OLP/PDC. No Cash Transactions will be allowed as a strict policy.
A percentage of this program fee will be retained by UTS as per the revenue sharing model on each installment for a
particular time period and the Business Partner share will be credited to their account on fixed cycle. The admission
cycle is open round the year.
UTS will charge Technical Know How (TKH) fee which is non refundable of Rs. 60,000/- plus services tax as
applicable.
Initial agreement period would be 1 year which shall be renewable subject to the centers performance and other
conditions thereafter every year for one year.
TKH charged during renewal would be 50% of the initial TKH paid.
UTS will offer share of 39% of the program fee for first 10 enrollments every month and from 11th enrollment
onward IC sharing will be 45% of the program fee.
Note Any sales promotional cost like Tablet PC offered by UTS to students with Lump Sum or Installment Fees
would be shared equally by UTS and the Business Partner. Any changes in Center Sharing would be communicated
well in advance. The Business Partner needs to have the service tax registration number to claim the service tax
component which finally has to be paid to the government. The details for all the other programs would be available
on www.jnujpronline.edu.in & www.mitsde.com.
The program fee will be decided by the University and UTS for all the courses and are subject to be revised; it
would be informed to all the information centers from time to time.
Miscellaneous:
Centers are to be called the Information Center (IC) of UTS. All franchisees will refrain using the words Study
Center, Learning Center, Tuition center or Coaching Center in any of the
communications.
As per the UGC-DEB guideline, all courses would be called as Programs and not courses; course is part or
subset of the program.
After initial agreement period of one year, agreement shall be renewed for one year every time. UTS reserves the
right to bring in new universities or discontinue any existing university from its current alliances and offer specific
alliance to the respective information centers. Any changes would be communicated well in advance to the
information centers.
