Contract Agencies
Retired early from Beckman Instruments in 1995. Now I work as a contract/consultant involved in documenting and
validation testing for compliance. Most recent: worked for M&O Perry on Automated Liquid Fillers, Magellan GPS
designed new Instruction Manuals for Software. Shur-Lock Aerospace SOPs, Integrated Medical Systems (aerospace
medical devices), and Newport Medical, documenting a new Lung Ventilator with SOPs and 510K Special FDA
submissions. Return to Beckman Diagnostics Division and worked for 11 months in the Test Engineering department,
creating SOPs and FDA compliance documents. SaintGobain Fluid Systems R&D Lab developing modern test methods for
ISO compliance. Worked for AlleCure, biopharmaceutical developing SOPs for cGMP compliance. IT and HIPAA
experience at BeckmanCoulter and Delta Dental.

1979 − 1995
Writer/Editor/Desktop Publisher
Beckman Instruments
Technical writing, multi-language editing, desktop publishing Instruction Manuals, Service Manuals, Instruction Sheets and
other writing assignments. Documentation projects for ISO 9000, FDA, UL, CSA MPRII, and other standards for products.

Set up and operated a Materials and Process Lab for Beckman Microcircuits Division. Assisted in the development of
microcircuit welding, bonding, plating, assembly and testing. Also involved in quality control of microcircuit production.
