Preparation of the decks
2 Take out the two "dummy" cards from each deck and
set them aside.
3 Take out all <optional> cards from each deck
in the base deck it's the five spell cards.)
Check that both players have the exact same type of
optional cards.
For the effects of the spell cards, please refer to the card list
.
4 From the optional cards, choose 2 that you want to
use. The remaining
optional cards are removed from the game. See to that the
other player
doesn't see what cards you chose.
5 Shuffle the nine monster cards and the 2 optional
cards to form
your personal deck of 11 cards, and place it face down
before you.

7 Draw cards from your deck so that you have 6 cards in
hand.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Preparing the point cards
1 Set aside the "Crown" card.

2 Shuffle the remaining 7 treasure cards.

3 Line up all treasure cards face down, between the
players.
4 The player who didn't shuffle the cards picks one and
removes it
from the game without looking at it.
5 The player who did shuffle does the same: picks a card
and removes it
from the game without looking at it.
6 The remaining 5 cards are the treasures you are
fighting for.
The game field
Flow of a round
There are as many rounds as there are treasure cards,
i.e. 5 rounds.
It may happen, however, that the game ends prematurely.
There are no turns in this game. All steps are taken
simultaneously by both players.
Each round consists of the below 9 steps.
All cards played on your side of the treasure card line is
"your army",
on your opponent's side is "enemy army".
If any one side "loses" or the round turns into a "draw" in
the middle of
a round, the round ends immediately, go directly to step 8)
"Getting treasure" ,
and then conclude with 9) "Cleanup and victory check" .

1) Discovering treasure

Reveal one of the treasure cards. The revealed

card is called the "current treasure".
It doesn't really matter which card you
reveal, but best is to take them in order from
any direction.
The cards played this round should be played
close to the current treasure.

2) Deploy scouts

Both players select a monster from their

hand and plays it face down.
You can not play a spell card at this point.
If you accidentally do, you automatically lose
the round (explained later).
You may play a dummy card if you want.
If you cannot play a monster card, say
"I cannot play" and reveal your hand. In that case,
you proceed to the next step. Your opponent

may take back his already played card (if any) before
going to the next step.
- 4 / 12 -

3) The scouts meet

Both players reveal the scout they played.

If one player accidentally had played a spell card, the
spell fails (it's wasted) Flip it face down; the player
automatically
loses this round.
If you revealed a "dummy" card, put it back to your
hand; you automatically lose the round.
The player who couldn't play a scout during the previous
step automatically loses the round.
If both players failed to place a monster card (played a
dummy or a spell,or both couldn't play a monster), then
the round ends
in a draw.
If the round hasn't ended at this point (if both players
played a monster), both players draw a new card from
their deck.
If your deck is empty, just don't draw a card. Otherwise,
your hand should still be 6 cards.

4) Attack

Both players select two cards from their hands and play
them face down. If you don't have two cards, play the one
you have.
You can play monsters, spells and dummies, but both
cards can't be spells (if you play two spells, one of them
will fail).
- 5 / 12 -

5) Reveal your fighters

Both players reveal their 2 played cards.

Return any "dummies" you played, to your hand.
If you played two spells, one of them will fail and has no
effect. The failed spell is flipped face down. Your opponent
chooses which of your spell fails. If both players played 2
spell cards, they have to choose fail spell simultaneously.

6) Resolve spell effects

If you have a face up spell card in your army, it happens.

Spells happen in the numbered order on the spell cards. If
both players have the same spell, they happen
simultaneously. For the effects of the spell cards, please
refer to the card list .

7) Compare the armies

Both players add up the total power of the face up cards

in their army. Spell cards may have changed the power of
some cards.
The player with the highest power wins the round. The
other loses.
If the players have equal power, the round is a draw.

8) Getting treasure

If one player has already lost the round, his opponent

wins the round.
The winner of the round gains the current treasure. It
should be placed visibly, face up, in your play field.
If there is no winner (if the round was a draw), the
current treasure is removed from the game. Removed
treasure cards are placed beside the play field. They can
be looked at, but no one can gain them.
The first player to get two cards with the crown mark (1
4 points) gets the Crown card (worth 7 points). The crown
cannot be stolen by the other player.

9) Cleanup and victory check

Each player draws cards from his deck so that he has 6

cards in hand. If your deck runs out, draw as many as you
can.
The monster cards and spell cards you played aren't put
away. Leave them where they are.
Check if the game has already ended
(see below).
f the final victor has been decided, or the game has
ended in a draw, that's it. The game ends.
If not, begin the next round.
Game end
After each round, if one player has got 4 treasure cards,
that player automatically wins the game (grand victory).
Please not that the "Crown" card is not a treasure card.
If all treasure cards from the treasure line are gone,
players count their points from the treasure cards (and
crown card).
The player with the most points wins. If the players has
as many points, it's a draw.
listTreasure cards
These are the cards with a treasure chest.
They are numbered 17, and are the goal for
each round.
The cards numbered 14 have a crown mark on them.
The first player to have gained 2 of these

also gains the Crown card.

Crown card

The point card with a royal crown.

Its value is 7 points.
Once you have got this, it cannot be stolen.
Hints for play
So you'll have to use the dummy cards, and choose which
rounds you want to win.
If you play a dummy card as scout, you'll lose the round,
but with some luck your opponent will have wasted a
pretty strong monster.
The cards you have played stay in place, so both players
will easily see what monsters are left. If you use your
spells too quickly, it will be easy to see what you'll do.
Each spell card has good and bad uses. If you keep using
the same spells, it will be easy to counter. The high value
treasures and the low value treasures have different uses.
You can aim for the lowest treasures to get the
Crown.Credits
