The following additions and changes have been made to the game
since the manual was written. We hope these improvements will
enhance game play.
********************* GAME FEATURES *********************
MUSIC VOLUME
Pressing Plus key '+' or Minus Key '-' anytime whilst playing
X-COM: Terror From the Deep will increase or decrease the ingame music volume.
ARMING SCREEN
Clicking on the rank icon on the tactical arming screen will
display the stats of the selected aquanaut.
********************* TECHNICAL NOTES ********************
HARD DISK REQUIREMENTS
The floppy disk version of X-COM: Terror From the Deep requires
approx 15 Megabytes of Hard disk space. The CD-ROM version
requires approx 4 Megabytes.
CD-ROM VERSION
X-COM: Terror From the Deep requires a CD-ROM with 280K/s
throughput (double speed) to play the animations. If you have
a slower CD-ROM drive then a slide show of the animations will
play.
If at a later point you upgrade your CD-ROM to a faster drive
then run CDSPEED.EXE from the main TFTD directory which will
re-test the CD-ROM speed.
SOUND
1. Gravis Ultrasound is supported in this version of
X-COM: Terror From the Deep. To play music on the Ultrasound
you must have a full set of midi patches supplied with your
card on your hard drive.
2. If you wish to change the sound configuration, after initial

installation, run the setup program in your TFTD directory.

COMPRESSION SOFTWARE
- If you are using Stacker, DOS 6's Double/Drive Space, or some
other hard drive compression utility, "X-COM: Terror From the
Deep" will appear to use more than the amount of space the
Install utility checks for. This is because the program
files are already compressed, and your compression utility
will not be able to get the usual space savings.

HARDWARE N CESSAIRE
La version disquettes de X-COM: Terror From the Deep n cessite
environ 15 M gaoctets d'espace sur le disque dur. La version
CD-ROM n cessite environ 4 M gaoctets.
VERSION CD-ROM
X-COM: Terror From the Deep n cessite un lecteur CD-ROM avec
280K/s (double vitesse) pour les s quences anim es. Si vous

BEWAFFNUNGSBILDSCHIRM
Durch Anklicken des Rang-Icons auf dem taktischen
Bewaffnungsbildschirm rufen Sie die statistischen Werte
des gew hlten Aquanauten auf.

Die Diskettenversion von "X-COM: Terror From the Deep" erfordert
etwa 15 MB Festplattenspeicher. F r die CD-ROM-Version ben tigen
Sie ca. 4 MB.
CD-ROM-VERSION
F r "X-COM: Terror From the Deep" ben tigen Sie ein CD-ROM-Laufwerk
mit 280 KB/sec bertragungsgeschwindigkeit (Double Speed), um die
Animationen abspielen zu k nnen. Falls Sie ein langsameres
CD-ROM-Laufwerk besitzen, sehen Sie statt der Animationen eine
Dia-Vorf hrung.

KOMPRIMIERUNGSSOFTWARE
Bei der Installation pr ft das Installationsprogramm, ob die
ben tigte Menge Speicherplatz vorhanden ist. Wenn Sie Stacker,
Double/Drive Space von DOS 6 oder ein anderes Festplattenkomprimierungsprogramm benutzen, verbraucht "X-COM: Terror From
the Deep" jedoch mehr als die angezeigte Menge. Das liegt daran,
da die Programmdateien bereits komprimiert sind und Ihr
Komprimierungsprogramm nicht die blichen Platzeinsparungen
erreicht.

VOLUMEN DE LA MSICA
Al pulsar la tecla del signo de la suma '+' o de la resta "-" en
cualquier momento mientras se juega a X-COM: Terror From the Deep,
se sube o baja el volumen de la msica.
PANTALLA DE ARMAMENTO
Pulsa sobre el icono del rango en la pantalla de armamento tctico
y podrs ver las estadsticas del aquanauta que est seleccionado.

REQUISITOS DEL DISCO DURO
La versin en disquete de X-COM: Terror From the Deep requiere
aproximadamente 15 Megabytes de espacio en el disco duro. La
versin en formato CD-ROM requiere aproximadamente 4 Megabytes.

X-COM: Terror From the Deep requiere una unidad de CD-ROM con

midi, que se suministran con tu tarjeta, en el directorio
apropiado de tu disco duro.
2. Si quieres cambiar la configuracin del sonido despu s de la
instalacin inicial del juego, ejecuta el programa de arranque
Setup que hay en el directorio TFTD.
COMPRESIN DE DATOS
Si quieres utilizar Stacker, DoubleSpace o DriveSpace del DOS 6
o cualquier otra utilidad de compresin del disco duro, X-COM:
Terror From the Deep usar ms espacio del que comprueba el
programa de instalacin. Esto se debe a que los archivos del
programa ya estn comprimidos y tu utilidad de compresin no
puede conseguir los "ahorros" de espacio normales.
