JOINT-AFFIDAVIT

We, PO1 MARIA MENDIOLA , Filipino, single, of a legal

age, a resident of New Lucban, Baguio City, and a bonafide
member of the PNP, and PO2 JM DE GUZMAN, of legal age,
single, Filipino, resident of Old Lucban, and a bonafide
member of the PNP, after having been duly sworn to in
accordance with law, do hereby depose and say that:
1. We are presently assigned at station 3, Pacdal, Baguio City.
2. On MARCH 24, 2015 at around 10:00 AM, we were tasked
to conduct an investigation about a possible killing incident
inside a taxicab at Outlook Drive, Baguio city.
3. I noticed that the car was improperly parked.
4. I peeped inside the taxicab and with the use of my flashlight
I discovered a motionless person stuck between the front and
the middle seat.
5. Upon arrival at the scene the SOCO team informed us of
the result of their investigations then they let us took over the
investigation. Thereafter, we did our own investigation.
6. After several minutes of surveying the perimeters, the team
noticed a CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION (CCTV) installed
near a BENECO electric post.
7. We summoned the PUNONG BARANGAY GINA COLE to
inquire about the CCTV. The PUNONG BARANGAY thereafter
said that the CCTV belonged to the BARANGAY and the same
is being operated by one of its KAGAWAD, PEEKA BOO.
8. The PUNONG BARANGAY then summoned PEEKA BOO.

When

the

latter

arrived,

he,

together

with

PUNONG

BARANGAY GINA COLE and PO2 JM DE GUZMAN, proceeded

to the Barangay Hall.
9. While inside, we watched a video footage covering the
previous day. After sometime, the footage showed that at
around 4:25 of MARCH 23, 2015, a woman flagged down a
taxicab. Later on, 3 other men entered the taxicab. At around
4:30, they were all seen running from the taxicab.
10. The video footage also showed that one of those in bonnet
was wearing a jacket while the others are in shirts. The
PUNONG BARANGAY also identified the person who was not in
bonnet to be KRIS AQUINO.
11. We watched again the footage for the 3rd time.
12. After that, we requested OPERATOR and the PUNONG
BARANGAY that the memory storage disk containing the video
footage be handed down to us.
13. They both agreed. Upon receiving the storage disk, PO2 JM
DE GUZMAN put it in a sealed container and properly marked
the same as evidence. After which PO1 MARIA MENDIOLA
took the marked evidence to the Crime Laboratory for proper
storage. PO1 SAPANG BATO of the crime laboratory received
the evidence.
14. We went to the house of Kris Aquino, about 9:30 AM at
No. 1 Outlook Drive, Baguio City. We were greeted at the front
door by a woman, who identified herself as the mother of Kris
Aquino. We were led inside the house to find her lying on a
sofa in the living room.
15.

stored

the

evidence

until

it

is

needed,

documenting everyone who has accessed the original evidence.

A document is hereto attached documenting the chain of
custody.
