WISE COUNTY

Snowy holiday

Wise County’s dreams of snow on Christmas came true, with heavy snow falling much
of Christmas Eve and providing a winter wonderland for Christmas day. Clockwise,
from the top, Wayne Berg shovels his walkway at his Decatur home Friday morning;
lights shine on a carpet of snow in the Lipsey Addition in Decatur; a deer ventures
among trees in Deer Park; cows brave the icy winds Thursday near Lake Bridgeport;
Chris Moorman, 12, of Decatur is smashed by a large snowball Friday morning.

Martin Woodruff, and UWWC directors Susan Miller and Steve Summers. According to Miller,
who is Wood’s marketing manager, the dealership normally sells $5,000 worth of “kick to

It matches that amount to contribute $10,000 to United Way. But because of the hardship
the fatal accident caused, Wood immediately gave the ticket proceeds to the two Bridgeport

Along with age, family history, early-onset menstruation, not having
children, and never having breastfed, having dense breast tissue is a
factor that plays a role in whether a woman will get breast cancer. This
risk rises in proportion to the density of the breast tissue. Generally, the New Pontiacs Get $1500 Bonus Cash

woman whether she has dense breast tissue. To compound matters,
dense breast tissue looks white on a mammogram and is more difficult
to evaluate. However, ultrasound and MRIs can be used as adjuncts to
mammography to help clarify the images.

Reader submitted photos

Readers submitted their own photos of the snowfall last week. Marla Torres captured a
snowy treeline in Chico. Snow fell on Pecan Street in Chico on Christmas Eve, below,
taken by Aracely Delgado. The Wise County Courthouse received a dusting of the
white stuff, taken by Jason Ticknor of Decatur, right.
