Experts On Call

INTRODUCTION
The College of Arts and Communication started out as Liberal

Arts providing liberal education courses.

The conversion of SIT

into the University of Eastern Philippines led to the opening of

the College of Arts and Sciences. Two decades later, CAS was made
a University College and consequently departmentalization took
place to respond to the enormous function of providing general
education in all courses offered in the University.

The College of Arts and Communication formally started as an

academic unit of the University on 1996.

Organizational Set-up
The Department of Languages and Communication identified
its faculty members based on their specialized discipline/s.
Such identification comprises the list of Experts On Call for
the department.

However, when necessary, the same Experts On

Call are tapped to help the other departments of the CAC in

carrying out their extension activities.

Selected faculty members of the department are assigned

to the CAC Extension Unit Services to ensure participation and
appropriate implementation of programs and projects.

Such

membership is made official with the issuance of a Special

Order issued by the Office Dean of the College.

Other Staff Requirement

To ensure a wide participation in the CAC extension
