A  Springtime  Meditation  &  Yoga  Retreat    
Friday,  March  12  –  Sunday,  March  14,  2010  
 
As  the  weather  turns  from  winter  to  spring,  join  us  for  a  weekend  of  retreat,  rejuvenation  and  rest  in  Lake  
Wenatchee,  WA.      Our  focus  will  be  yoga,  meditation,  as  well  as  delicious  and  detoxifying  meals,  from  Friday  
evening,  March  12  through  brunch  Sunday,  March  14.    Give  yourself  the  gift  of  intentional  transition  into  the  next  
season.  

Setting:  Our  retreat  site  is  a  rustic  log  home  (with  modern  amenities)  on  12  quiet  acres  off  State  Road  207,  20  
minutes  west  of  Stevens  Pass.    Just  over  2  hours  from  Seattle,  we’ll  have  the  place  to  ourselves  for  the  weekend.  

Meals:    In  Chinese  Medicine  spring  is  the  season  of  liver/gallbladder,  so  what  better  time  to  do  a  healthy  detox?    
Our  menu  will  be  vegetarian  and  gluten-­‐free,  with  plenty  of  nutritious  meals  and  snacks  throughout  the  retreat.      

Itinerary:    The  weekend  includes  three  yoga  classes  and  three  meditation  sits  to  explore  our  spring  focus.    If  you  
are  new  to  either  meditation  or  yoga,  this  retreat  offers  an  immersive  opportunity  to  learn  and  experiment  with  
the  practice.    If  you  are  familiar  with  either  or  both  practices,  enjoy  a  deepening  of  your  yogic  or  meditative  
experience.    There  will  also  be  free  time  for  hiking  the  grounds,  visiting  nearby  Leavenworth,  or  quiet  rest.  

Facilitators:  Rebecca  Denk,  RYT,  has  been  teaching  


weekly  yoga  classes  for  2½  years  in  her  Central  District  
neighborhood,  and  practicing  more  than  a  decade  at  
Seattle  Yoga  Arts.    She  completed  Anusara  Teacher  
Training  (twice!)  at  SYA  and  is  in  her  second  year  of  
weekly  meditation  sangha.          

Vickie  Summerquist,  LAC,  LMP,  completed  her  MS  in  


Acupuncture  at  Bastyr  University  in  2001.  Additionally,  
she  has  done  extensive  training  in  Five  Element  
Acupunture  and  is  recognized  by  the  NCCAOM  as  a  
Dipl.  Ac.    Vickie  will  be  leading  our  meditation  sits  
during  the  retreat.      

Price:    the  retreat  cost  is  just  $275  and  includes  shared  accommodations  (double  rooms)  and  baths,  all  meals  and  
snacks,  and  meditation  and  yoga  instruction.    Participants  are  responsible  for  their  own  transportation  to  and  from  
the  retreat  location.    A  $100  deposit  is  due  by  March  1  to  reserve  your  spot;  the  remainder  is  due  upon  check-­‐in.
