Character: The Index of

Progress
It is truly said:
When wealth is lost, nothing is lost.
When health is lost, something is lost.
But when character is lost, everything is lost.
Character is everything in a mans life. It is the total personality of
man. A man without character is just a dead body that is hated by
everybody.
The importance of character can be realized from the fact that a
student seeking admission from one school or college to another
has to produce a character certifcate from the former institution.
A person applying for some post must produce a character
certifcate from the head of the institution he last attended.
Character is the sum total of all the good qualities in a man. It
consists in honesty, truthful speech and dealings, dutiful- nests,
diligence, and obedience to parents, teachers and elders.
Sincerity, love of mankind, inner goodness and desire to do well to
others and to be free from hatred, jealousy and malice are also
part of character. To live in harmony with the people of all
religions, races, castes and nations may be added to the
characteristics of high character. Not to cast an evil eye on a
member of the opposite sex is the essence of high moral
character.
Sometimes, there may be instances of loose moral character. But
most often there are just rumors and guess-works which are
deliberately engineered to malign a person out of jealousy or
animosity. One should think twice before casting aspersions on
anybody. We must accept all such rumors with a grain of salt. In

any case, a man of character is bound to come out of the dark

clouds as the sun appears bright in the sky.

Role of Youth in Combating

Corruption
Corruption is very big problem. This is also a reason for the
poverty of the countries. Peoples are becoming greedy because
they want money and for this they are crossing their limits of bad
works. Peoples are using different tricks/cheats and they are losing
honesty. At this time young peoples needs to beware.
The young peoples have to see coming generation so they should
think about the future .They needs to take decision that they want
a corruption free environment or not. This is the duty of the young
peoples to care about their future. The older generation has
accepted defeat. All hopes are pinned on the younger generation.
So, they need to be strict, honest, intelligent and good thinker.
We need to use the way of Mahatma Gandhi.
Like an ant reach to the trunk of the elephant slowly-slowly and it
does not make the elephant to know about this. Same the young
generation needs to do.
They needs to make a group of some peoples to take some step
forward against this problem. We have seen in urban areas that
the social workers are taking some extra money to do any work, in
fact they are paid monthly income. So, against these problem we
should make groups and try to make understand to the peoples. If
they watch something bad or unacceptable for the betterment of

the society then they should think and try to do something their
selves.

Child Labour
Child labour is the crime to humanity which has become a curse to
the society and big issue preventing the country growth and
development. Childhood is the most memorable period of the life
which everyone has right to live from birth. Children have full
rights to play with friends, go to school, feel the love and care of
parents and touch beauty of the nature. However, just because of
the improper understandings of the people (parents, owners, etc.),
children are forced to live life of the elder. They are forced to
arrange all the resources for life survival in their childhood.
Parents want to make them very responsible towards their family
in the early childhood of their kids. They do not understand that
their kids need love and care, they need proper schooling and play
with friends to grow properly. Such parents understand that their
kids are the only property of them, they can use them as they
want. But really, every parents need to understand that they have
some responsibility towards their country too. They need to make
their kids healthy in every aspect to make the future of the
country bright.
Parents should take all the responsibility of the family by own and
let their kids to live their childhood with lots of love and care. The
main causes of the child labour all over the world are poverty,
parents, society, low salary, joblessness, poor living standard and
understanding, social injustice, lack of schools, backwardness,

ineffective laws which are directly affecting the development of

the country.
