BACKGROUND
Mr. Alfaro Burgos, vice president for sales of Dyners Corporation wanted full
advantage of the steep rise in silver prices. By quickly re-pricing his silver plated lines,
he felt confident of a very large windfall profit.
In reviewing the company inventory, it was found out that in every recounting of
the several boxes of plated tableware were marked stainless steel. Then it was found
out that there is shortage in the silverware inventory. Every time that the company had
the inventory shortage, the price of the silverware is increasing.
Mr. Alfaro Burgos was being suspected about the misplaced silverware. So he
called an industrial security firm and act to a forklift driver. The agent found out that the
silverware stealing had been a common knowledge in the warehouse and the
supervisor was a bully and therefore his workers were afraid that they might lost their
jobs.
It was found out that Karlo Deles, the warehouse supervisor admitted that he is
concerned with the miss-packing of the silverware for one customer as a favor to a
friend. He said that he is doing the inventory leakage because of the incident that he is
doing a scheme about his pension and afraid that at the age of 57 he couldnt possibly
find another job for another business. Upon this situations, Mr. Alfaro Burgos was
thinking twice if he would fire Karlo Deles or give him another chance.
PROBLEM
The problem is, there was a shortage in the silverware inventory, packing and
shipping. There was theft.

OBJECTIVE

The firm must be concerned about the inventory leakage that have been
discovered by the security firm.

The firm must watch every employee on their performance and loyalty to the
company.

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION
Mr. Burgos must think about what to do to Mr. Karlo Deles and how it affects
the other employees.
ALTERNATIVE COURSE OF ACTION

Karlo Deles would be given another chance but he must do what the firm ask

him to do so.
Karlo Deles must pay back the things that he stole.

RECCOMENDATION
The company must have CCTV cameras inside to watch every employees move
specially Mr. Karlo Deles so that the same thing wont happen again.
PLAN OF ACTION
The company must hire private investigators of hire a person to watch over and
monitor what Mr. Karlo Deles is doing inside the company. Mr. Karlo Deles must also
state the amount of things he stole and he must pay for it even from time to time.
POTENTIAL PROBLEM
In implementing the recommended solution, it must be checked if there could be
possible future problems and give solution immediately.
CONTINGENT PLAN OF ACTION
The company must monitor Mr. Karlo Deles and he must state the amount of
things he stole and it must be accurate to the amount of the things that were lost. For
him to stay in the company, he must prove that he is liable in everything that he does.
