1944, the V-1 was the first weapon to use the
classic missile layout of a bomb-like fuselage

Pakistan is one of those countries who have
developed their own Cruise Missiles. No
evidence has been found that the Pakistan's
cruise missile is copied from the Amercian's
Tamahawk. In 1998, six Tomahawk cruise
missiles fired at Taliban bases in Afghanistan by
US. Sone of mis-fired missiles landed in
Pakistan. It was reported that Pakistan did the
reverse engineering and made its cruise missile
but this propoganda failed and they could not
provide any proof.
Cruise missile categories:
It is convenient to categorize them by size,
speed (subsonic or supersonic), and range.
Often, the same missile is adopted for different
launch platforms (land, sea, or air). Sometimes,
the air- and submarine-launched versions are a

3G Another Confusing Tale
Announcing 3G mobile telephony sounds very
good but either its result will support the music or
the party will drain away. In a low ARPU (Average
Revenue per User)market, predicting the future of
3G is not simple. Though, with the arrival of 3G
telephony, subscribers would be able to enjoy video
telephony, high speed Internet and mobile TV with
more freedom but there are a lot of problems, yet to
be resolved, regarding the coverage and quality of

towards 3G (Third Generation) mobile
telephony. Though, 3G has brought revolution
in mobile market, globally, but Pakistan may be
not the same case with compared to other
world. Now at a position where operators are
still struggling to cover the geographical limits in
the country and to meet international quality
standards, it will be the dread full challenge for
them to roll out 3G networks and then attracting
customers can give tough time to cellular
companies.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has
plans to issue its first three licenses for third
generation (3G) mobile telecom service. High-
speed 3G transmission would allow cell phones
to better provide services such as high speed
Internet on mobile phones in Pakistan, one of
the fastest growing cellular markets in Asia.
"We are working on the plan, and 3G

companies for launching 3G mobile phone
services in Pakistan," said a PTA official. The

Let's get straight to the point about the Nokia 5070 - this is a very cheap
phone and it's a quite attractive handset too.
As you might guess from the bargain price tag, there's not an awful lot
going on with the Nokia 5070. In fact it is almost identical to last year's Nokia
6080 and Nokia 6070 models.
The Nokia 5070 is a basic but functional device with a 128x160 pixel
CSTN display in 65,000 colours, a VGA resolution (0.3 megapixel) digital
camera, FM radio (with stereo headphones in the box in most retail pack-
ages) and really not much else. The software includes a web browser, email
client, MP3 ringtones and some PIM functions. Internal memory is just 16Mb
with just 4.3Mb available to the user, but then there's not an awful lot going
on under the hood so this shouldn't be a problem.
There's no Bluetooth, no expandable memory and no MP3 player but it's
worth remembering that the Nokia 5070 is a very cheap handset. It's quite
light too at 88 grams, although the battery life is a little disappointing at just
3.5 hours talktime. The 5070 does support EDGE data, but it's a bit of a
moot point in a handset with limited capabilities such as this.
The Nokia 5070 isn't the sort of handset that most readers would want for
themselves, but it is something that looks quite appealing for the bottom end
of the market, and it looks more expensive than it really is.
Nokia say that the 5070 should be available from this month in two tri-
band GSM variants.
59
The Nokia 6120 Classic is an understated phone with hidden depths - the
absolute antithesis of the flashy but shallow Nokia 8800 Sirocco Gold.
It's hard to believe, but this unremarkable looking handset might just be the
best phone that Nokia have ever made. Hold on to that thought for a while.
It weighs just 89 grams, but the Nokia 6120 Classic is a dual-band
HSDPA/UMTS phone with quad-band GSM plus GPRS and EDGE data.
There's a quite large 2" 240x320 pixel display in 16 million colors, plus a 2
megapixel primary camera (with flash) and a secondary one for video calling,
microSD expandable memory (up to 2GB), Bluetooth, a multimedia player and
an FM radio.
To top all that, the Nokia 6120 Classic is also a Symbian S60 smartphone.
That's an impressive package for a handset that weighs so little.
All in all, the combination of high-speed data, multimedia support, camera
and screen is very impressive and it will deliver everything most consumers
need.
There are a few drawbacks. There's no Pop-Port on the bottom of the 6120
Classic (so it won't fit with a standard car kit), talktime is only 2.4 hours on 3G
and 3.1 hours on GSM (which is good enough for most people). Some people
might find it a little bit bland looking too.
But, as stated earlier, it's quite possible that the Nokia 6120 Classic is the
best phone that Nokia have ever made when you take into account the combi-
nation of features and price. We think this is one destined to be a top seller.
Nokia says that the 6120 Classic will be available in next month.

Nokia's 2000 series of handsets is pretty sparsely populated -
typically used for device just one step above the most basic mobile
phones possible.
The Nokia 2660 joins this range, offering a fairly simpl but stylish
clamshell phone aimed at developing markets and budget con-
sumers.
Nokia 2660 is a lightweight 79 gram clamshell phone with a basic
128x160 pixel CSTN display in 65,000 colors plus a smaller external
display. The 2660 also has an FM radio and MP3 ringtones.
Surprisingly for a device that it so inexpensive, the Nokia 2660 has
Bluetooth too.
There's also a speakerphone function, support for GPRS and
WAP and also MMS messaging. The battery life on the Nokia 2660
is impressive - it has a maximum talk time of 7 hours with up to 13
days standby time.
The more basic Nokia 2660 will be available in Black, Silver and
Warm Silver colours. 2660 offers exceptional value for money, and
although their features are a little basic compared to most
"midrange" models in European markets, the 2660 is aimed at a dif-
ferent type of customer.
Nokia say that these two devices should be available center this
year.
