LIU Ze- hai
( College English Dep artment, Jishou University , Jishou, H unan 416000, China)

Abstract: Native language is one of the important factors influencing students second language acquisit ion. Researchers who focus on second language acquisition have made profound research and proposed many theoret ical hypotheses.
Based on the previous research results and by adopting contrast ive analysis, this paper tries to make a relatively thorough analysis of this question in order to explore the influence of native language on SLA and thus construct a comprehensive theoretical framework to eliminate native language interference.
Key words: nat ive language; second language acquisit ion; transfer; contrastive analysis; mother tongue interference
