Five types of Pooja Vidhis for performing Abhisheka

to Sri Kanaka Durga Devi

Type I - Abhisheka Pooja Vidhi for Daily morning during ordinary days:
Fresh water abhishekam. After that, turmeric water Abhishekam.
Type II Details of Abhishekam to be performed on Fridays are given below.
Type III Details of Abhishekam to be performed on Poornima days are generally given below.
Type IV It would be good to perform special Abhishekam for Ambal on very very important festival days.
1) Aadi pooram
2) Nine days of Navaratri
3) Chitra Poornima days
These three are important.
Type V this fifth type of Abhishekam should be performed carefully without forgetting.
Sometimes, during rainy days or even in normal days, there will normally be thunder sounds in the nights.
When there is thunder during a night, on the next day morning, first oil must be applied to Ambal. Only
after that, other Abhishekams must be performed.
Explanations of Abhisheka Pooja Vidhis
I -- On ordinary days, it is good to perform Abhishekam with turmeric water.
II, III, IV, V On Fridays, first fresh water Abhishekam and then turmeric water Abhishekam should be
performed.

Apply Oil (spray and clean with sekakai, sandal powder or Gantha powder)
Milk Abhishekam
Young Coconut Abhishekam
Rose water Abhishekam
Touch drops of Sandalwood oil and apply to feet, all over the body and head of Ambal. Then, put
vastras (sari, etc.,) on Ambal.

On special days, based on availability, Priest can include Panchamritha Abhishekam.

This Abhishekam method can be followed on Poornima days and other festival days.

Some special notes for priest are given below:

All priests are all familiar with Abhishekam, Archana for Ambal.
1) Right after morning karpoora deepa, priests should note one thing: some times, due to being
soaked in water, the thread of Mangalya sutram may have broken. One or both Mangalya sutrams
may have slipped and fallen down. Priest should form new thread for Mangalya sutram and tie it
to Ambal with all bhakthi. Only after that, Abhishekam should be started.
2) It would be good that, according to their sampradaya priests can use Ambal stotram or Durga
stotram for archana. Offer any Naivedyam according to their practice.
In these, I have faithfully recorded the prophesies given by God.
One more request for the priest: it is important responsibility of the priest to establish a tree (Sthala
Vruksham) in the Temple. It is good to plant any one of the following trees and tend it: Coconut,
Mango, Neem, Peepul.
Out of all Shakthis living in that land of America, Sri Kanaka Durga Ambal will be of more lusters.
She will pour Her blessings to Her devotees.
According shastras, the posture of Ambal sitting in North and facing South is a very auspicious state.

Appendix
Sri Kanaka Durga Devi has been blessing boons to devotees who pray and worship Her with all devotion.
Sri Shakthi is only one. But for the benefit of all billions of living beings in this world, She has taken several
Shakthi forms. She has taken five major forms: Durga, Lakshmi, Saratha, Savithri and Radha Devi.
Following is a brief account of the blessings received by those who pray Ambal:
Those young unmarried girls who perform heartfelt pujas to Sri Kanaka Durga by singing the following
sloka for consecutive 21 days in Her sanctum, are sure to get strength to their Mangalyam:
mangaLe, mangaLAthAre, mangalye mAngaLaprathe
mangaLarththam mangaLesi mAngalyam dEhi me sathAsu
(This is the first way)
The second way is:
Those unmarried young girls, who have set-backs in getting married should follow this second way:
Young unmarried girls should come to Her sanctum every Tuesdays and Sundays continuously without
forgetting. Have a darshan of Ambal, perform puja and pray Her with all Love and Devotion. They should
appeal to Ambal and pray to get rid of their deficiencies. Those girls who are worried about their
difficulties in getting married, if they keep doing this, it is definite that their problems will be removed.
Similarly, males who come to Her Sanctum on Tuesdays and Sundays every week, continuously without
missing, and pray Her with all devotion, will get rid of their problems and be blessed with jobs and
livelihood for sure.
