SME100 Awards is the premier regional awards for small and medium sized enterprises
(SMEs). The Awards identify and recognise SMEs based on a basket of quantitative
and qualitative criteria with a focus on growth (turnover, profit and market share) and
resilience (best practices, sustainability and vision).
Awardees are also featured in a Special Edition of the SME magazine and other
supporting publications and participate in other programmes under the SME100
Framework.

SME100 winners are entitled to use the SME100 logo in all their corporate collaterals and
websites. Being an SME100 company is a powerful statement of your achievements and
build confidence among current and prospective clients, employees and vendors.
As many of the winners are of a size and presence that pre-qualifies them for public listing,
the SME100 is also positioned as a prelude and stepping stone to an initial public offering.
Equally important, we work with media partners to profile selected winners and the full list of
winners are published in the media and official website to enable more prospective clients
and business partners to identify you as a great company to work with.

ELIGIBILITY

THE SME100 AND ASEAN

ECONOMIC COMMUNITY 2015
2015 will see the full implementation of the ASEAN Economic
Community (AEC) Framework - allowing for greater trade,
skilled labour, investment and capital flow across the ASEAN-10
countries. The SME100 is the only recognition programme to
take place across ASEAN, including Malaysia, Singapore,
Indonesia, and Thailand - allowing you direct access to these
markets and business opportunities. SME100 is the only truly
regional awards for fast growing companies.

To be considered for an SME100 Award, your company

must fulfill the following criteria:

At the time of application, not be publicly traded

Submission of the Nomination Form and a non-refundable

RM 300 fee to cover administrative costs.

Annual turnover of minimum RM1 million or full time

employees of minimum 20 for manufacturing,
manufacturing-related and agro-based industries. Annual
turnover of minimum RM500,000 or full time employees of
minimum 10 for services, primary agriculture and ICT
industries.

1.

Am I guaranteed to win by submitting a Nomination?

The SME100 system is designed to be both impartial
and independent from external influences. As such, all
Nominations will be weighed against the proprietary SME100
Methodology and are considered solely on the merits of
the Nomination. Ultimately, the stringent criteria adopted
ensure that if you are selected as a Winner, you know that it is
because you qualified for it, and not because you have paid
for the Nomination.

Will I be asked to pay additional fees should I be

chosen as a Winner?
If you are announced as a Winner, you will be given the
opportunity to partake in an optional marketing programme
designed to maximise your exposure from the SME100
programme. The programme is optional and will not affect
your chances of being selected as a Winner. Of course, you
will only receive benefits tied to the marketing programme
should you participate in them. Please speak to your
Nomination Advisor should you need further clarification on
this.

Is my submission Confidential?
We do not disclose information about your Company to
anyone. We also do not disclose your submission should your
Company not be chosen as a Winner. We may, however, use
information provided for statistical, research and reporting
purposes. However, profit and other figures may be used
for research purposes, for which authorisation is deemed
to have been received from all participating companies
upon submission of the Nomination Form. The organisers
decisions on all aspects of this programme including ranking,
evaluation and publication of the list will be final. Additionally,
should you be chosen to be a Winner, your name and
images will be used to promote you and your Company.

Can either be a holding company or a subsidiary. If the

holding company participates, all subsidiaries will not be
eligible.

Credit Bureau Malaysia is the leading provider of comprehensive and reliable credit information

grantors have access to the Bureaus offerings such as credit and business reports, credit ratings and

SUPPORTING ORGANISATION
The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) is the national
