the college website www.ramanujancollege.ac.in&www.rcdu.in. Eligibility criteria and
qualifications are as per the University of Delhi/UGC Norms.
College reserved the right to fill or not to fill the above mentioned post(s). The number of
posts Unreserved/Reserved in a department may increase or decrease as per DU rules.
The application fee is Rs. 500/- for General/OBC category and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/
candidates payable online while filling and submitting the application. The fee is nonrefundable. Any addendum/corrigendum shall be posted on the college/DU website. The last

FRESH ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Essential Qualifications for the posts of Assistant Professor:

1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to
SC/ST Persons with Disability viz physically and visually disabled or those who
passed their Masters degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D degree) or an
equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at
the Masters degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an
equivalent degree from a foreign University.
2. Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by
the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC (state level eligibility testSLET/SET).
General Note:1. Candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in compliance of the
University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for awards of
M.Phil/Ph.D degree), Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of
the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
2. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Degree Programmes in
disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted.
3. The eligibility criteria, essential qualifications, pay scales and other service
conditions shall be such as prescribed by the University of Delhi/UGC from time to
time.
4. Candidates already in employment and short-listed for interview are required
to submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer prior to or on the
date of the interview if not uploaded with the online application form.
5. The College reserves its right not to fill any or all the post(s) advertised and
increase or decrease the number of post(S) as per the requirement of workload and
roster.
6. Separate application has to be submitted for each post.
7. Application is to be submitted strictly online till 14.08.2015 at 23:59:59 hours. The
forms have to be filled online only as available on the website of the college within
the prescribed time limit indicated in the advertisement.

8. Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility conditions does not entitle the candidates
to be called for interview. The applications received shall be screened in
accordance with the guidelines laid down by the University in this regard, to restrict
the no. of candidates.
9. Candidates

must possess the qualifications as prescribed by the

University/UGC from time to time for respective posts. All the above posts
carry UGC pay scales plus admissible allowances. Details regarding prescribed

The online applications received may be screened for short listing and
recommending the candidates to be called for interview on the basis of the
Screening Guidelines approved by the University. The Screening Guidelines
approved by the University is available on the College Website.

List of candidates shortlisted for interview by the Short listing / Screening

Committee shall be uploaded on the website of the College.

Publications under submission or submitted to referees will not be

considered towards points for publication criteria. Further all the items for
which points are claimed should be strictly in accordance with the screening
guidelines attached with the advertisement.

Consequent upon adoption of self-certification provisions as required by the

Govt. of India, the College shall process the applications entirely on the basis of
information/documents submitted by the candidates. In case the
information/documents are found to be false/incorrect by way of omission
commission, the responsibility and liability shall lie solely with the candidate.

The College shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a

candidates at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In
case, it is detected at any stage that the documents submitted by the
candidates are false or the candidate has suppressed relevant information,
then his/her service shall be terminated without prejudice to any other action
initiated by the University.

In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection, which may be

detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the College
reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to
the candidates.

In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection,

the decision of the college shall be final.

Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess
at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement.

Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

(a) No interim correspondence shall be entertained from the candidate.
(b) All correspondence from the college including interview call, if any shall be
sent to the e-mail supplied by the candidate, and upload on the college
website.

Candidates are requested to submit the application through online mode only.

The reservation for OBC (non-creamy layer), SC and ST candidates will be

applicable as per the Central Government norms. Candidates seeking
reservation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC must ensure that they are
entitled to such reservation as per Govt. of India Lists/rules/norms. They
should also be in possession of the certificates in the format, prescribed by the
Union Government.

The College reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time
without giving any reason. Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of
Interview may also be filled up from the available candidates.

All candidates should have fulfilled the minimum eligibility on the last date of
application.

Candidates called for interview shall do so at their own expenses. No. TA/DA
shall be paid.

The College shall not be responsible for any delay/loss due to postal or
technical reasons.
