Music Theory Jingle Project

For this assignment, you will notate, arrange, and perform a commercial jingle of your choosing. This is a great opportunity to put to use
some of the new musical skills youve acquired!

Part I:
Choose a jingle and notate the melody and harmonic structure using Noteflight. Check out YouTube and the businesss website for the jingle.
You can use traditionally notated chords, roman numerals, lead sheet chord symbols, or a combination of these. Whatever you decide, make
sure you or a classmate can perform what you notate. The notation will be graded on accuracy compared to the original recording.

Part II:
Record the elements of your jingle. Remember, this is an original arrangement. You can use classroom MIDI instruments to create your
arrangement in GarageBand. You will be graded on your accuracy compared to your notation.

Part III:
Produce and arrange the jingle in GarageBand. Be creative and use a variety of effects. Manipulate instrument sound, effects, and other
features to make your arrangement creative. Your jingle should still be recognizable; just re-imagined in a new way!

Part IV:
Share your jingle with the class! Submit .band file, notation PDF, and mp3 via E-Chalk Dropbox.
