Our vice president announced that our president, Nicole Schoenstein, was elected as New Jersey State
President. In addition, Nicole won the Hall of Honor President Award and Distinguished Chapter President
Award.
SGA Representative’s Report: Stan Carr
SGA Senate Happenings: The Phi Theta Kappa has an additional $1800 in funds.
Approved Activities: The student government was approved for $3200 to attend convention in New York.

New Business:
Members of the Phi theta Kappa along with our president attended the 2010 Middle State Regional Convention
which was held on February 11th- 14th in Ocean Place New Jersey.
At the convention our own Chapter “Alpha Delta Mu chapter” won the Milestone Award. This award is based
on the total score of all three Hallmark entries (Scholarship, Leadership & Service) that was submitted. With
this award we as the Alpha Delta Mu Chapter has been recognized as the most improved chapter over the year.
Moreover we will receive a plaque and along with $750.00 to attend International Convention.
• Along with the Milestone Award, other awards were won at the convention these include:
• The Hall of Honor Member Award that was won by our member Racquel Richardson. Racquel will be
receiving a pin.
• The Hall of Honor Chapter Officer Award was won by our treasurer Dorothy Doyne .Dorothy will be
receiving a pin
• The Paragon Award for new Advisors was won by our Advisor Carolyn Coulter. Carolyn will be
receiving a plaque
• 5. We as the “Alpha Delta Mu chapter” won the Five Star Award, with Pinnacle Award and Northern
Star Award. Because we increased membership by 10% and with every time we increase membership by
5% with 25% being the limit; we will receive a pinnacle, our chapter has received two pinnacles. The
Northern Star Award is the “sixth” star.. Our chapter won that because we participated in the 2009-2010
Middle States Regional Honors in Action Program Common Roots.) Furthermore we received a
certificate, and will receive a plaque and funds to attend International Convention.
Unfinished Business:
• Nicole urged members and officers to recruit Health food and/or green initiative experts to participate in
the round table discussion at the “FOOD, INC” event, which will be held on Tuesday, March 30th from
6:00 – 9:00 PM in the Theatre at the Mays Landing Campus.
• Nicole reminded us to advertise the blood drive, which will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd from 10:00
AM – 4:00 PM in the Gym at Mays Landing campus. She emphasized how important it is get people to
schedule an appointment. Appointments can be scheduled by calling Nicole at 609-204-8625, e-mailing

Fundraising Ideas:
Happy Hair Days- Nicole urged us to recruit teachers to volunteer to get their hair dyed.
