Transfer Request Form

The Transfer Request Form should be completed by the grantee requesting a transfer (part A) and their advisor
(part B) at their current host institution. The grantee should upload the completed Transfer Request Form to the
BSMP Participant Self-Service Portal using the following:

IIE will review each transfer request on a case-by-case basis. IIE determines transfer placements by academic
major/field of study, not specializations or concentrations.
Please read all of the transfer conditions and eligibility criteria carefully.
All transfers are subject to the following conditions:

The grantee cannot stay at their current host institution once the grantee initiates the transfer request
and the transfer is granted.
If a transfer is ultimately granted, the grantee must accept the transfer placement regardless of previously
expressed institutional preferences in their original application.
Grantees that request a transfer and do not sign their updated transfer Terms of Appointment (TOA) will
be withdrawn from the program.

In order to be considered for a transfer, grantees must meet each of the following criteria:

Valid reason for transfer, as confirmed by IIE

A minimum TOEFL score of 500/61
Good academic standing
No more than 5 failures on the transcript from the grantees Brazilian institution
Submission of transcripts for the previous terms from the grantees U.S. host institution

I have carefully researched my current academic institution and confirm that it does not offer my
major/field of study. I have spoken with the Admissions Office and Department Advisor and other
faculty at my host institution about my options and they are unable to accommodate my coursework
request.
I understand that IIE will review my request, and that transfer to another institution is not guaranteed
at this time.
