Self Description
Curiosity and passion drives me to constantly pick up new skills in photography and
videography. Challenges and competition among others keeps me going and driven to be
better than the rest. I am always improving myself by learning new skills and techniques be it
from online resources, facilitators or friends and I will never allow myself to give up when
faced with a challenging task.
I Have plans to venture into production house or media industry. I have a good eye for
details especially in video editing and I am sure that I will contribute well to any given work
and projects.

Other Interests
I love treating myself to movies and every now and then I would pay attention to the
storyline, shots, compositions and movements of the camera works. Besides, movies gives
me inspiration and the motivation to do what I love to do most. Music keeps me hyped up and
energized in everything I do. What I love the most is to enjoy quiet moments and to let myself
reflect and just think about my life or anything else.

Work pieces
Aspiration/Inspiration
I aspire to become a film director / video editor. I want to be able to produce my own
films and also to edit and to have control over a story and how it flows. Filmmaking is
an art form that I really would like to learn or to learn more. To be able to tell a story
through different shots and then mixing it together is really a fascinating thing to me.
A great movie that manages to do this was Memento by Christopher Nolan. The telling
of a story in backwards order was a breath of fresh air and I would like to one day be
able to pull off something similar.

SG 50 - 50mm Documentary (Competition)

This was my teams video documentary for Short Media Production submitted to Cine65. It is a documentary
about 50mm lens that has grown popular among youth and teenagers. . I was the videographer and editor for
this video project and managed to researched and learn the style of a video documentary in order to edit it
properly.

Land Transport Authority Work Plan Seminar Video (Special Project )

I was the photographer and editor for this stopmotion video project. They provided us with last minute hand cut
props and had us to shoot a stop motion video and edit it. Also, I had the chance to apply my skills in premiere
pro and after effects to create a graphical timer and appearing logo effect.

MUSE@SAM Highlights 2015 (Special Project )

This was a video project of an event coverage of MUSE@SAM 2015 for a team of four past year Final Year
Project, Diploma in Arts Theatre Management ( DATM ) students from Republic Polytechnic who collaborated
with SAM to present a live music event as part of the Singapore Art Week. I was the videographer and editor
for this video project . Using past experiences from other projects we pulled off this video decently. I had the
chance to apply my skills on videography and also in premiere pro during post production.

A trailer done for Diploma in Arts Theatre Management (DATM) production. I was the videographer and editor
for this project . The video was only decent as we had no access to better equipments. Also, I had the chance
to create some freeze title effects and apply my skills on After Effects.

This was my teams video for Short Media Production which was submitted to Cine65. The video is about the
importance of having a good relationship with your neighbours. I was the videographer and main editor for this
video. This was one of our best works in terms of editing as I had picked up a few tips and skills from previous
experiences in class and from shooting past videos .

(Special Project )

This was my teams personal work for a Halloween Camp. School of technology for the arts and School of
Health and Leisures student leaders needed a trailer to get the participants hyped up and excited for the camp.
Since it was a horror video, something different than what we always did, we had to have a different approach
in terms of composition, execution and editing style. I was one of the videographer and the main editor for the
video.

Once again, this was my teams personal work for School Of Technology for the arts student leader (Club:G).
They approached us wanting a music video to show the joy in this festive season. I was one of the camera man
and the editor for the video. This wasnt our best as this was our first few .
