SEX, VIOLENCE AND WEATHER FORECAST

MISBEHAVIOUR OF GLOBAL MAINSTREAM MEDIA


Different research sources, from theoretical and applied sciences to philosophy or new technologies and
cybernetics say that humans normally tend to think and feel through the eyes, rather than through the other senses or
mind. The outcome is structured together, but first come the eyes. Even the brain thinks through the eyes.
There are two levels engaged in perception of media content. On the Level One, or more precise, Level Zero,
there are the senses, combined in some way by any individual they operate via visual perception, as a mover forward
to combine other senses. On Level Two or, more precise, Level One, is reason. It operates through language. Senses
and language work together synchronized in creating representation from various perceptions and observartions. It is
not of any importance to enter meaningless philosophical debates about what comes first, senses or mind, experience or
reason. Those kinds of dualities, produced and maintained in Western culture, only did wrong. No kind of duality is
human-friendly concept. If we observe genuine human perspective toward outer world, it shows need for structuring, not
destroying. Especially because of so many ongoing atrocities and destructions. That is why all media, especially global
maistream media, by its behaviour may be taken responsible among the others, for destructions of different kinds and on
different levels.
Combination of image, sound and language given to inform, seduce, disinform, educate, deceive or enlighten
the audience, spectators, viewers, followers is young technology in addressing to the masses, but at the same time, it is
deeply rooted in human mechanisms of getting knowledge, feelings, memories. And, it works.
The biggest responsibility goes to television as the most influential global mainstream media and lately, to the
Internet, which may be considered both as a part of global mainstream media network and not considered as its part. It
is a part of that network because it is global and in some way it is occupied by global mainstream media which are more
and more migrating to the Internet. It is not part of global mainstream media network, because it has its own rules, ethics
and behaviour which does not match the criteria and habbits of global mainstream media. Internet is a crossroads
either to embrace its different logic and ethics or to try to make it another global mainstream media. Luckily, the last
option is very hard to accomplish.
Television has been responsible for strong visual/audio impact for almost a century - the language is second
rated and it mostly does not follow TV images and sounds, so it just produce misunderstanding in perception. Then the
effect of images is the only one which stays in memories. Internet is responsible for both images/sounds/language and
their combinations. On the other hand, it is not about media directions, only. The real life gives enough material to media
to produce not so funny directed circuses. One of the differences between impact of television and Internet on the
masses is that television goes to collective unconsciousness and Internet goes to individual subconsciousness.
Combination of sex, violence - in any explicit or implicit form - and weather forecast form a spectacle, a very
powerful content which is suitable common ground to deliver any kind of information or request to those watching,
listening or reading. The unhappy unity appeal to human understanding of the world, order, chaos, other people,
cosmos, unsolved inner dilemmas, spoken or unspoken demur. The result of the impact of global mainstream media is
that average human also wants own life to become a spectacle. In the same way in which media present the rest of the
world, with the same ingredients in it. Human life becomes something to expose to the others in every possible or not so
possible way. If not in the mood to take part in the spectacle, one has to say Bye! to many forms of social life in which is
strictly, but not explicitly, forbidden not to go with the flow. If one is in the mood to take part in the spectacle, media
become the guide. Then, the combination of sex, violence and weather forecast show even more impact. It is not
claimed that violence will produce violence within those who trust media or that they will become sexually disturbed. No.
The media impact will be in unexpected parts of individual's mind and it will affect one's life in the most unexpected
ways. Then, individual may become an unexpected human who may produce very unexpected events or impacts both
for self and others.
This is why global mainstream media always approach with spectacle, fast moving images, fast verbal
expressions, powerful sounds, universal concepts, symbols and contents. Because all of these combined in global media
misbehaviour may cause human misbeheviour. And they count with it.

The concept of sex has some more meanings, it is not only directed and left
in the area of instincts, senses and their satisfaction. There is a need to overcome that
duality, as well. Representations of sex may influence human mind at the same time
as they do to instincts and senses.
The effects of media stories, news, information, reports make big impact on
everyday's human mind and it happens that sex is omnipresent. It is presented in
many different forms, implicit or explicit. Average human mind reacts, in some way, to
any implicit or explicit display of sex. Having in mind that media appeal goes either on
unconsciousness or subconsciousness, it is not of major importance that indecent
words are forbidden in any kind of public. It is enough to have the image.
But, why the mind? Because mind keeps the structures, perceived and
memorized both by senses and brain activities. It later directs other activities. Together
with the call from instinct and senses. And it is vey important what kind of memory it
comes from.

VIOLENCE The other powerful media tool.

word violence shows good general overview on the concept of
violence these days. Google Image Search Engine gives a good
short visual analysis on the concept and what are the most
popular, viewed or searched meanings of violence in a certain
moment.
Violence, in the same manner as sex, may have
different explicit and implicit forms. Military violence is somehow
legitimate. Criminal violence is not legitimate, but it happens on
a daily basis and media follow it with big attention. Police brutality, hooliganism, state or other forms of terrorism, private
people clashes are subject of great media attention. Not to mention digging The Earth and other obscure activities
toward destruction. The media decision to give so much time to different forms of violence, displayed and broadcasted in
various ways, even if media show it as an example of something wrong, brings the question: why is it so? As if some
drama writers decided to turn violence into entertainment. It may bring, again, to the unconcsciousness and
subconcsiousness as the main tools in dissolving perspectives of anything, which is also violence. Media violence.

There is scientifically based oracle which has world wide
support and it is mostly trusted - Met Offices or companies - even if
they are wrong many times in a row or simply can not be so accurate,
due to the constant and always new changes made by people to the
natural cycles. Somehow, it appears to be easier to make high-tech
surveillance and killing drones than to channel knowledge in applied
sciences and technologies into research of natural cycles and humanfriendly purposes of life.
The main symbols used in Weather Forecast are images and
numbers. Language, written or spoken, is just a guide how to see or
read images and numbers. And both of those have bigger impact on
human attention than language.
Wheather Forecast also became and powerful tool used by
global mainstream media to direct and redirect human attention, both in
individual life and in global issues of concern within global population.
Being accurate or not, everyone trusts media on spectaculary
delievered info on weather. People even direct their daily lives toward
media reports on what the weather will be. Or not.
