I am a recent graduate of SUNY New Paltz. I pride myself on having more interests than just my field of study. I
am passionate about journalism, theatre, and music and participate actively in all three.
I am passionate about well-written material and love being able to use my skills to influence the way people see the
world for the better. Between August 2013 and June 2014, I studied Seoul, the capital of Korea. While in Korea, I
maintained a blog about my stay to help those who have yet to travel to the country to be able to experience it to
the best of my ability through video, photography, and the written word. You can view my work at

I am also the creator and writer for K-pop Kommunity. I write articles on inspirational people who have gone
far in their lives because of their love for K-pop and also provide interesting takes on the news. You can view

Having studied Journalism and the Korean language at Korea University during the 2013/2014 academic year, I had
the opportunity to experience many unique events including The 2013 Busan Film Festival Blue Carpet Event and
also appeared in the audience on one of Koreas top variety shows, Running Man.
While in Korea, I met many people from all over the world including Madagascar, France, China and the United
Kingdom. As a journalist, having studied in a country housing a different culture and language was an excellent
opportunity to learn about how the media works in other countries while also reflecting on how the American
media represents countries outside of America.
I have studied Theatre for four years and music for 13. I hope to incorporate my skills and love for Theatre in
whatever work that best suits my skills.

I have known Jillian since she was ten years old. I have seen her grow up into a fine
young lady with a respectful personality. She has a great attitude; she puts 100% plus effort in
all she does. She takes pride in her work.
As a teenager Jillian worked with her Mother at their family business, a local ice cream
stand. Jillian learned consumer relations, employees work schedules, and helped her Mother
with the business ledger. She worked long hours, and helped open and close the ice cream
stand. She created a face book page for the ice cream stand, advertised what they offered and
had different promotions and sales online. Jillian went so far as to dress in an ice cream cone
costume, and stand by the road to bring in customers
As she went off to college, she showed the same hard work and put a lot of time and
research into all she has done. She has traveled to different countries and learned the cultures,
languages and how countries run "politically".
As a part time teacher in Korea, she taught Korean kids English as a second language,
while she studied abroad. She spent her personal time writing articles regarding Korea. Her
personal interests also circled around arts and music in Korea and America.
Jillian is a talented young lady who would be an asset to any business. She is a hard
worker, a quick learner and determined to set her foot on a project and succeed!
As a business owner I can appreciate how hard it is to find employees with such skills and
