Student Reporting System

INTRODUCTION
We have seen over the years that most of the parents dont known about its child
academic performance. Some parents dont have such enough time to meet with teachers and
know about its child status, and this process is not only time consuming but also sometimes
inefficient.
Today, parents need not to go to the college to know childs performance instead of
that they can see their child details in his own smart phone from anywhere.
Following this thought, we have proposed Student Reporting system based on the
concept of online services which is implemented as an Android mobile application that
communicates with the database residing on a remote server. The mobile application would
require connecting to the database using either internet Service or Wi-Fi technology.
The Student Reporting System is an efficient and user friendly Android mobile
application to manage student attendance and to track the student to know its presence in
class.
The application will be installed on the users (in this case parents, teachers, &
student.) smart phone. It intends to provide an interface to the parents who will require
checking the details of their child and also for the student to know his marks and attendance
details.
If the student is absent in class, then parents can track their children to know his
current location. If the student/parents want to see their attendance then they can see it by the
application, after authorized log in. Staff can also upload any notice through the mobile
which is visible to students also to parents by their own smart phone.
Student report system deals with all kinds of student details, academic related reports.
It tracks all the details of a student from the day one to the end of the course which can be
used for all reporting purpose, tracking of

attendance, progress in the course, completed

semesters, years, coming semester year curriculum details, exam details, project or any other
assignment details, final exam result and all these will be available through a secure, online
interface. The various academic notifications to the parents updated by the college
administration.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
1. Current System attendance done in class.
2. Maintaining attendance in notebook
3. Parent are not able to mentor to their child properly

EXISTING SYSTEM
In the present system many of the institutes use email, call, letters or SMS service to
communicate with parents of students. The school and college can inform Exam / Test results,
Homeworks, Attendance of the students, Holiday announcements, Meetings and important
dates, Timetable through SMS or email.
Disadvantages of existing system
1. Time consuming.
2. Costly
3. Cant check daily attendance.

PROPOSE SYSTEM

Track application: This application update the location of student on server.in each login

Student Attendance Done in Local Wi-fi. ,This attendance upload on server by teacher in
every day.
