BIBA
BIBA is the most loved ethnic fashion brand in India.
Biba Apparels Private Limited (Biba), the Indian fashion giant, stands true to its name. The
brand has been dressing and embellishing demure maidens from every corner of India since
1986. Contemporary ethnic fashion at affordable price is Bibas commitment to fashion
enthusiasts, offering ladies churidars and dupatta sets in cotton, in shades of every color, and
with irresistible color combinations and patterns. Mix-and-match kurta pieces from Biba are
available in different lengths, so you can experience the joys of traditional Indian wear regardless
of your body type.
The word biba is a Punjabi endearment for a young and pretty girl. It implies sublime
qualities, compelling Mrs. Meena Bindra, the founder of Biba, to use the name for the line of
salwar, kameez, and dupattas that she launched in 1986. What began as a fashionable and
affordable line remains the brands ethos today: fashion at affordable price. In time, new range
collections were introduced. Today, the mix-and-match range has a very contemporary
sensibility, and the salwar-kameez range is very ethnic, defined by an Indian crafted look, handblock prints, and vegetable dyes. Indian handlooms with traditional embroideries and other
techniques are applied in producing the garments. Unstitched suits and a festive collection for
two-to-12-year-old girls cater to the full demands of a woman.
Biba pioneered Bollywood merchandising in India by providing costumes for Na Tum Jano Na
Hum in 2004. It covered ten more projects, including blockbusters such as Devdas, Hulchul, and
Baghban.
Backed by a dream and led by a vision, Mrs. Meena Bindra, the founder and chairperson of
BIBA, launched the first BIBA collection in 1988 from Mumbai with a small boutique at Kemps
corner. It took off immediately due to its beautiful hand block prints and styles.

It is, Mr. Siddharth Bindra, Managing Director, BIBA who made BIBA the countrys leading
ethnic wear brand with a pan India presence. Today, the brand has over 121 exclusive stores in
59 cities. It is also available in large format stores such as Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Pantaloons
and Central.

At present, BIBA is one of the most loved ethnic brands in the country as it has made wearing
traditional Indian attire, trendy and fashionable at an affordable price.
