Values and Ideas that Guide Us.

The following are some of the values and ideas and principles that guide our
organization. They constitute a core concept that are important in our work of
helping families live more fulfilling lives

Self Determination
Services must be responsive to the needs to the individual .All people must have
the right to direct their future. They must have a right to exert influence over the
resources that support them and they should be actively involved in all aspects of
planning and service delivery. Our professionals are highly accountable to the
individuals that we serve. We must create meaningful relationships and link those
we serve with needed supports, remove barriers, and develop safety networks and
not forgetting who is in charge.

Dignity and Respect:

We will always use the language and words that create an environment of dignity,
respect, and valued identities for the people we support and their families.

Cultural Competence:
Cultural competence determines our world and provides a general design for
living and patterns for interpreting reality that are reflected in our behaviors.

Therefore, services should be culturally competent and be provided by individuals

who have the skills to recognize , understand, and be respectful of the history,
race , ethnic origin , beliefs, practices of any particular group of people.

Community Connectedness
Inclusive Links sustains a deep rooted connection with the individuals and
communities we serve. The community connection has to be one in which it has
ownership and influence in our organization.

Family Focused:
The family participates as a full partner in all stages of the decision making planning
process, implementation, monitoring and evaluation

Our Approach to Measurements and Evaluations

How We Work in the Field:

We strive for the kinds of changes that help people with disabilities live a more
fulfilling, healthier, inclusive, productive life we seek to understand their
challenges, and levels of needs. We work with each family in what they want to
accomplish and where our services can have the greatest impact. Once we commit
to an area of need, we define our person centered goals and work with the family on
a clear path to achieving them. We strive to engage the individuals we serve in a
spirit of trust, candid communication, and transparency.

Purpose of Our Evaluation Policy.

Achieving our ambitious goals requires rigorous evaluations of our supports. It
encourages Inclusive Links to be more transparent, strategic, and systematic in
deciding what to and how to evaluate outcomes. Our aim is integrating evaluation
into the fabric of our work, achieve early alignment with our families about what we
are evaluating and generate evidence that is useful to us.

How We Measure and Evaluate Results:

From the onset, we work with families to define the overall results we hope to
achieve and we require our professionals to report all the activities and in some
cases, focus on measuring the critical metrics of progress that support a person
centered planning and outcome.
Inclusive Links continued evaluations helps us answer the questions about what
actions work best to achieve outcomes , how are why they are not achieved and
what needs to be adjusted to improve execution.

Our Evaluation Design and Methods:

We avoid a one size fits all approach to evaluation because we want our evaluations
efforts to be designed for a specific purpose and specific individual needs.
. Our evaluation design enables us to
-

Allow a range of methods including qualitative and quantitative data

collection and analysis, retrospective, experimentation, and theory based
evaluations, and system based approaches.
It requires our teams, outside evaluations, to be rigorous about the inferences
they make and explicit about the assumptions they use to draw conclusions.
It requires our team and partners to consider evaluation evidence, in the
context of action so the evaluations efforts produce findings that can be
acted on rather than information that can be merely nice to know.

Our internal policy document that is program specific is a starting point of a larger
effort to make high quality evaluation an integral part of how we operate and carry
out our work.
