Background

Corruption had agreed as extraordinary crime in a country. Corruption is not something strange
anymore for each countries in the world. In Indonesia almost every aspects of life corruption
would be able to find, or corruption has become a new polemic at this era. In Indonesia
corruption looks never decreased, but instead became more worst because always related with
spectacular money, where the money could have to cover the difficulties of society in some
districts. But the corruptors always keeps their own interest to use the money of society.
Indonesia mobilize all the institutions to press the corruptors. But the corruptors that appear right
now is unpredictable, because always include the person that thought had a good character and
responsible. But what happened? In the way to fulfill his own interest, corruptors destruct the
important aspects in Indonesia, directly or indirectly. Society is the main victims where occurs
problems in their life. And something like this is commonly happen in Indonesia. Solution is
require here, in the effort to reach the prosperity. Indonesia need something new to minimize
more or to stops the corruption, because the punishment that using right now is not guarantee
anymore. KPK do their job very well, but the existence of them and the other security institution
is not enough to solve the problems of corruption. If every constitutions keeps running
everything just like what they usually to do or if theres nothing changed, especially the
regulations of punishment, no matter how hard this country struggle to reach prosperity of
societies, everything would be useless as long as the corruptors still out there, waiting for perfect
opportunity. Or indirectly, Indonesia just threat the safety of its nation, where the law that
established for peoples had broken by corruptors, and the level of corruption in Indonesia will
surprised the world. Thats why, government should have consider more about the situation in
Indonesia right now.
The writer choose the tittle death penalty for corruptors because corruption is the main polemic
that occurs in Indonesia, and crowd to discuss in society. Besides the writer choose this because
this is exiting topic for writer.

1. Why death penalty must be given for the corruptors ?

In this writing, the writer classified the purpose into:
a. General purpose, To fulfill the requirement of Academic Essay and Presentation National

b. Special purpose, the writer want to get the analysis result, why death penalty must be
given for corruptors related with circumstances of Indonesia right now.

The writer put the limit on this case for the corruptors that corrupting above billions which
influence entirely districts.

Analysis: perkembangan korupsi di indonesia disebabkan/didukung oleh

Indonesia established KPK as independent institution that arrest all corruptors since 2003, but
even the KPK exist why could always appear new case every time? There is presuming that said
if corruption just like kills peoples indirectly or if corruption looks so worst in this country, why
the government cannot see how dangerous this situation is. Indonesia is not the only country that
stuck in problems of corruption, but there some countries that had the same situation. But those
countries applied new regulations after they realized how bad the situation is. When theres no
other solution, those countries had only one regulation that surprised enough. The regulation that
they made is dead penalty for corruptors. Singapore is the one country that applied death penalty
for corruptors, thats why they are the country that has most low totals of corruption. not just
Singapore but followed by North Korea china, Vietnam, and Taiwan that establish dead penalty
for corruptors. Indonesia should have to see how successful those countries that applied dead
penalty, and why dont Indonesia try to do the same. How can Indonesia made a great
development or improve all the potential when corruptors is everywhere? In this part, the writer
classified in some aspects.
Based on Justice Aspect, dead penalty is fair for corruptors, because
Peoples has their right to receive attention by government. In Indonesia everyone same in the
law, theres no one defended by law, or government. So whoever made mistake, he/she will get
punish base on law. But in Indonesia theres still problem with justice, where the right of
societies to get assist by government had taken by corruptors. The relation between justice and
prosperity is one indication that determine how bad the law system in Indonesia. There is a case
that shown in Television about an old woman that stolen 3 cacao fruits from factorys farm,
because she was hunger, but the owner realize this and report to the police. At the court, this old
woman received verdict 1 year 15 days in prison and 3 moths experiment time, even the judge he
drops his tears when he gave the verdict. And lets compares for the corruptors that stolen within
millions until billions but arrest at the prison less than 5 years. That is one image of injustice in
Indonesia. Or try to imagine when in one district, peoples are suffer causing by dry season that so
long. They cannot consume water like usual and then appear some problems with health because
the water supply had dried, they must to find another water source or well. When they went to

others district and queue for hours just to get 2 jar of water. But when the government respond
this and give the funds for society, but the funds had stolen/corrupted. Society keeps suffer
anyway, moreover some peoples were died in waiting for government respond. But the suspect
of corruptors just received verdict that not fair with the numbers of society that already died.

Indonesia wanted to make programs that can be support society life, programs that could changes
the reality that crowd in society. But the government cannot make sure if the programs will
running well or ruined, because the existence of corruptors that unseen just to make doubt the
government to running some programs. The problems in Indonesia right now related with this,
the corruptors blocks the way for government to help the society. Because there are some
programs that already made but cannot to realization, because of sometimes the fund is not
enough, the time has delayed, suddenly stopped, and there are third sides. Until the society
confused and blame the central government. For example, the government wanted built a
highway that will connected two areas, like city and the farmland, because the farmers complain
that they had a problem to brings their yield to the city for sell it, especially theres no way. The
government accept their complain, but a few months later after the project running, there is
problem with funds and the project could not finished related corruption cases. The suspect has
arrest, and took long process, the victim is peoples, because however theres no result about high
way. And thats why, there are many programs about the development of infrastructure in
Indonesia is so bad. How can the activities of peoples will growth if they are not support by
infrastructure.

Death penalty must be the solution to solve the problems about corruption that kills many
peoples indirectly, because the punishment is not fair anyway to compares with victims that
appeared in society for all this time.
