Praise the Father, Praise the Son

The Lords Day Worship Service

God Calls Us
To Worship
The Call To Worship
~ based on Psalm 86 & 73 ~
Leader: There is none like You, O Lord,
nor are there any works like Yours.
Unison: All nations You have made
shall come and bow down before You,
O Lord, and glorify Your name.
Leader: For You are great and do
wondrous things. You alone are God!
Unison: Whom have I in heaven but
You? And earth has nothing I desire
besides You. My flesh and my heart
may fail, but God is the strength of my
heart and my portion forever!

Prayer Of Adoration
Songs Of Praise & Worship
More Than Conquerors
When my hope and strength is gone
You're the One who calls me on
You are the life, You are the fight
That's in my soul
Oh, Your resurrection pow'r
Burns like fire in my heart
When waters rise, I lift my eyes
Up to Your throne
chorus
We are more than conquerors
Through Christ
You have overcome this world, this life
We will not bow to sin or to shame
We are defiant in Your name
You are the fire that cannot be tamed
You are the power in our veins
Our Lord, our God, our Conqueror
I will sing into the night
Christ is risen and on high
Greater is He living in me
Than in the world

No surrender, no retreat
We are free and we're redeemed
We will declare over despair
You are the hope
bridge
Nothing is impossible
Ev'ry chain is breakable
With You we are victorious
You are stronger than our hearts
You are greater than the dark
With You we are victorious
Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven
Praise, my soul, the King of heaven
To His feet thy tribute bring
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven
Who like thee His praise should sing
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise the everlasting King
Praise Him for His grace and favour
To our fathers in distress
Praise Him, still the same forever
Slow to chide and swift to bless
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise Him, praise Him
Glorious in His faithfulness
Frail as summers flower we flourish
Blows the wind and it is gone
But while mortals rise and perish
God endures unchanging on
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise the High Eternal One
Father-like, He tends and spares us
Well our feeble frame He knows
In His hands He gently bears us
Rescues us from all our foes
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise Him, praise Him
Widely as His mercy goes
Angels help us to adore Him
Ye behold Him face to face
Sun and moon, bow down before Him
Dwellers all in time and space
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise Him, praise Him
Praise with us the God of grace

O sovreign God, O matchless King

The saints adore, the angels sing
And fall before the throne of grace
To You belongs the highest praise
These sufferings, this passing tide
Under Your wings I will abide
And every enemy shall flee
You are my hope and victory
chorus
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, Three in One
Clothed in power and in grace
The name above all other names
To the valley, for my soul
Thy great descent has made me whole
Your word my heart
Has welcomed home
Now peace like water ever flows
(repeat chorus)
bridge
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the power
Yours is the glory forever
(repeat)
(repeat chorus)

God Graciously
Renews Us In
Christ
Call To Repentance &
Renewal
~ based on Isaiah 30 ~
Leader: The Lord God, the Holy One of
Israel, spoke through the prophet Isaiah
saying, In repentance and rest is your
salvation, in quietness and trust is your
strength.
Isaiah pleaded with the people, Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to
you; He rises to show mercy to you.
He will surely be gracious to you at the
sound of your cry. As soon as He hears
it, He answers you.

Prayer Of Confession
~ based on Psalm 25 ~

Unison: Remember Your mercy, O Lord,

and Your steadfast love, for they have
been of old. Remember not the sins of
my youth or my transgressions; according to Your steadfast love remember me
for the sake of Your goodness.
~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~
Unison: For Your names sake, O Lord,
pardon my guilt, for it is great. Turn to
me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely
and afflicted. The troubles of my heart
are enlarged; bring me out of my distress.
Consider my affliction and trouble and
forgive all my sins. Amen.

(repeat chorus)
bridge
Though sufferings may fill our lives
Were confident were heirs with Christ
And so we cry, Abba, Father
(repeat chorus)

God Receives
Our Offerings

The Words Of The Gospel

~ Isaiah 53; 1 Peter 1 ~
Leader: Isaiah the prophet spoke about
the coming Saviour of the world, Jesus
Christ, when he said, Surely He has
borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by
God, and afflicted. But He was wounded
for our transgressions; He was crushed
for our iniquities; upon Him was the
chastisement that brought us peace, and
with His stripes we are healed.
Understand then that you were
ransomed not with perishable things such
as silver or gold, but with the precious
blood of Christ. He suffered for sins, the
righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us
to God.

Song Of Response
The Fathers Love
How has the sinner been forgiven
How has the rebel been made clean
Or blinded eyes been made to see
How have the orphans been adopted
Who hated Your love and ran from grace
Despised and rejected all Your ways
chorus
How wonderful the Fathers love
The Fathers love for us
That He would send His only Son
To come and rescue us
He has saved us, called us blameless
Guides us now and will sustain us
Oh how wonderful the Fathers love
Your mercy floods our lives
With kindness
Your grace has coloured all we see
And You have promised not to leave
You freely give Your Spirit to us
So we can be sure were sons of God
And rest in the hope of whats to come

Behold Him there! The risen Lamb

My perfect, spotless Righteousness
The great unchangeable I Am
The King of glory and of grace!
One with Himself I cannot die
My soul is purchased by His blood
My life is hid with Christ on high
With Christ, my Saviour and my God
With Christ my Saviour and my God

God Gives Us
His Words
Of Eternal Life

The Prayers Of The People

For The Church & City
Leader: Let us pray.
Unison: Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we also have
forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the
glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

Cornerstone

Before the Throne of God Above

My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus name

Before the throne of God above

I have a strong, a perfect plea
A great High Priest
Whose name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart,
I know that while in Heavn He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart
When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin.
Because the sinless Saviour died
My sinful soul is counted free
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me
To look on Him and pardon me

chorus
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Saviours love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil
(repeat chorus)
When He shall come
With trumpet sound
Oh, may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless to stand before the throne

And Can It Be?

And can it be that I should gain
An intrest in the Saviours blood?
Died He for me who caused His pain?
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou my God shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God
Shouldst die for me?
He left His Fathers throne above
So free, so infinite His grace!
Emptied Himself of all but love
And bled for Adams helpless race
Tis mercy all, immense and free
For, O my God, it found out me
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God
Shouldst die for me?
Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and natures night
Thine eye diffused a quickning ray
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light
My chains fell off, my heart was free
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God
Shouldst die for me?
No condemnation now I dread
Jesus, and all in Him is mine
Alive in Him my living Head
And clothed in righteousness divine
Bold I approach th eternal throne
And claim the crown
Through Christ my own
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God
Shouldst die for me?

Our Confession Of Faith

~ Heidelberg Catechism #60 ~
Leader: Christian, how are you made
right with God?
Unison: Only by true faith in Jesus
Christ. Even though my conscience
accuses me of having grievously sinned
against all Gods commandments and of
never having kept any of them, and
even though I am still inclined to all
evil, nevertheless, without my deserving
it at all, out of sheer grace God grants
and credits to me the perfect
satisfaction, righteous-ness, and
holiness of Christ, as if I had never
sinned nor been a sinner, as if I had
been as perfectly obedient as Christ was
obedient for me. All I need to do is to

accept this gift of God with a believing

heart.

God Sends Us
Into The World
With His Blessing

The Benediction
~ Romans 15:13 ~

with all joy and peace in believing, so
that by the power of the Holy Spirit you
may abound in hope.

Summer Preaching Series:

Relationships. They are the stuff of life. With them we can prosper. Without them,
we flounder. But the big question is, How do we navigate relationships in our
modern world where there seems to be so much confusion about relationships? Join
us this summer as we take a look at relationships through the lens of the gospel of
Jesus Christ. We'll answer questions like
What are relationships for?
Why do relationships get wrecked?
Is marriage really a smart choice in our modern world?
How are we to understand our sexuality?
Is there any hope for my sense of relational brokenness?
How do I view my singleness?
Isn't divorce the easy way out?
Is there a wise way to think about family?
