At this point all I need is a current map.......my request for the map will initiate PTP to actually have the
map made as EDX Engineering informs me that an up to date map does not exist. Once the map is
complete, I'll meet w/ the contractor on site and do a thorough walk-through. At that point we'll work-out
monitoring and maintenance requirements (actual sampling points and frequencies) given the existing
lay-out, w/ added attention to proposed (future) additions to the system. For example, rotation of the
drainfields can be prescribed given flow and seasonal considerations. But all of this will be done after an
accurate map is produced and I've spent time w/ the contractor at the site understanding the system, and
it's capabilities and limitations.

Re: PTP permit mod

I'm fine with the "softer" touch. However, shouldn't we ask for everything we need to move forward with
the permit mod/reissuance? Or are we not in a position to know everything we need at the present time?
Or is an updated schematic the only thing we need? Inquiring minds want to know!

PTP permit mod

Dave:
I've been working w/ PTP's contractor, EXD Engineering, toward modifying the PineView permit to bring it
up to date (no, that's another case) given the disparity between what's actually on the ground at the site
and what the existing permit says/represents. To begin the process, I need an updated schematic or map
of the system as it now exists.......purpose of the attached draft letter which is to be signed by you. I made
it clear to EXD that I was in no position to direct or require work products from them, and that I could only
go through the owners of the company to gain products related to the permit mod.
My preference is to approach this permit mod from an "agency-friendly" perspective, as opposed to a
more legal bent. Thus, the attached letter does not include legal language associated w/ EPA's authority
to request information. I'd like to establish a "cooperative" working relationship w/ PTP and their
contractor on this effort, and if that fails then we can go the other route. Let me know what you think.
