Spiritual Unity of the Tribes is about Black
Elk's vision for world peace; bringing the four
coloured hoops (races) together. Sharing
medicine, spiritual teachings, ceremonies and
common humanity, SUT works to bring people
together by dispelling the fear of others. It
supports keeping alive traditional healing
techniques as well as supporting elders of all
nationalities and their traditional values.
Gatherings involve a sacred fire for four days
which is the centre of teaching/sharing and
prayer; from this the land experiences healing.
This gathering is titled Healing the Waters
Honouring Kockard in reference to the struggle
of the Darling River and Menindee Lakes to
survive and the respect needed for the Giant
River Goanna, the Spirit protector of the waters.
Our host is Aunty Beryl Carmichael,
Ngiyeempaa Elder and medicine woman, and
this is her 5th Menindee Gathering. Aunty will
guide us in the ways of her country in healing,
medicine and traditions. We are looking
forward to observing the healing abilities and
traditions of the Mongolian Shamans as they
work with Aunty Beryl and all who attend,
talking to the spirits of the waters.
Of equal importance will be everything that
each person brings to the fire including Celtic,
Romany, Native American, Asiatic, Pagan and
many other traditions.
This our 17th Gathering is being held at
Menindee, NSW.

Sue Ewart and Don O'Connor were called to

Mongolian Shamanism

visit Mongolia in June a spiritual journey led

by Bluesky Shaman where they attended
Shamanic Solstice ceremonies, sacred sites, and
experienced many Shamanic healings Although
they saw many of the beauties of Ulan Baatar
and surrounding steppes their objective was to
experience authentic Mongolian shamanism.
Bluesky Shaman is a talented interpreter and an
authentic Shaman herself and has many many
cultural and Shamanic connections.

is a system of controlled journeys into

alternate realities (and back,)not rooted in any
organized religious tradition. Through ceremony the
Shaman connects with their spirit guides and then
moves aside allowing the spirits a physical body
(presence) for working their divination and healing.
Once completed the Spirit leaves the Shaman's body
and the Shaman returns.
Lectures:
Attend one of the lectures at the Daylesford
Town Hall where you will learn the history and the
place of Mongolian Shamanism in today's world, all
about the Shaman's costumes, alters, drums and
drumming and the trance ceremony.

the healing and the Shamans return.

This positive experience with these healers

prompted SUT to invite three of them and their
roadmen to visit Australia to share their unique
healing skills with us and to attend a SUT
Gathering at Menindee, NSW. This gathering is
to help Ngiyeempaa Elder Aunty Beryl
Carmichael, heal the troubled and receding
waters of the Darling River and Menindee
Lakes. We are excited to see how these healers
from such a distant land work together with
Aunty Beryl (elder and medicine woman) and
the spirits of the waters.
International travel is expensive and SUT need's
to cover all costs from the generosity of those
who believe in this project. The two lecture
events and luncheon promoted in this brochure
form the main fund-raising effort to back this
powerful and unique initiative. This rare
opportunity is brought to you by Spiritual Unity
of the Tribes Australia, a local Not For Profit
organization working on sacred land with elders
and healers from all cultures.
Everything is alive,
be responsible for yourself
and walk in balance.
