If any of your results are not what you expected, then you may ask for an enquiry to be made into your results.
Service S - Photocopied scripts - Deadline - Friday 21st August
You can ask to see a copy of your script before making a decision whether to submit a re-mark request. A
photocopy or electronic copy of the script will be returned. Scripts will be received by 10 th September.
Service 1 (Clerical Check) - Deadline Thursday 17th September.
This is a check of all clerical procedures leading to the issue of a result. This service will include the following:

That all parts of the script have been marked

The totalling of marks
The recording of marks
The application of any adjustments
The application of grade thresholds
The application, where applicable, of any special consideration

The target for completion is within 20 calendar days of the awarding body receiving the request.
Service 2 (Re-mark) Deadline Thursday 17th September
The re-marking of externally assessed units/components. This service will include:

The clerical re-checks in Service 1

The re-assessment of units/components by an examiner experienced in marking the paper.

The target for completion is within 30 calendar days of the awarding body receiving the request.
A photocopy of a re-marked script along with the outcome of enquiries about results may be requested at the time
of enquiry.
Priority Service 2P (Re-mark) Please submit form ASAP deadline Friday 21st August
If your University place depends upon your grade you need to complete the EAR form for a Priority Service 2 (Remark). It is recommended that you also alert the university that you are doing this as it may help to keep your place
available until the enquiry is resolved. Please note this has a deadline of Friday 21 August but UCAS advise
making the request by Friday 14 August. The target for completion is within 18 calendar days of the awarding
body receiving the request.
The outcome of all enquiries will be confirmed in writing. If an enquiry is made about the result of one of your
examinations after your subject grade has been issued, there are three possible outcomes:

Your original mark is confirmed as correct, and there is no change to your grade.
Your original mark is raised, so your final grade may be higher than the original grade you received.
Your original mark is lowered, so your final grade may be lower than the original grade you received.

In order for any of the above enquiries to be carried out you must fill in the relevant form giving your consent
and email it to the Exams Office on exams@keaston.bham.sch.uk. Fees are to be paid online via ParentPay.
Where an enquiry results in a grade change, the fee paid will be refunded.
3 Return of original scripts Deadline Thursday 1st October

If you would like your original script returned to you for general interest, or to inform future learning, please complete
the relevant form and return to the exams office with the correct fee.
