The Seventh Major Arcanum

WATHER CONTROL

This magical act you can control the weather.

You stand before an altar, a raised platform, or small table. Place a
square, but preferably a pentagonal vessel on your altar, one
ring two feet in diameter by six inches in height. Pour pure water into
bowl up to three inches deep. The rim of the container should be just high
to fit so that your hands can be inserted without the strain of bending over.
During these exercises your eyes should be scarcely open.
Through blurred vision, and not fixed upon specific objects.
NOTE:

Stand erect. Face the direction of the sun, moon, or stars; depending on
whether your breath is coming from the dominant right or left nostril in
this moment.
2. Clear your lungs by panting all residual air out of your system.
3. Submerge your hands in the water resting your palms on the bottom.
4. Spread the fingers of both hands so that the tips of your thumbs and index fingers touch each other correspondingly.
5. Inhale deeply for seven seconds.
6. Hold your breath for one second.
7. Then exhale through your mouth with a deep sighing sound until all air is
expelled from your lungs. If necessary allow more than seven seconds for
the air to be exhaled at your leisure.
8. Stop one second.
9. Inhale again for a period of seven seconds.
10. Stop one second, and exhale through your mouth while making a
moaning or whistling sound.
11. Again, stop for a second. Then inhale for seven seconds.
12. Stop one second again.

13. Finally exhale through your mouth, swishing the air and whistling
through your lips in the manner of a roaring storm.
These are the basic specific sounds of breath: sighing, moaning, and
roaring. Repeat the exercise three more times, so that you will have completed a total
of twelve breaths. The Word of Power annunciated during this exercise is: I
(as in "eee"), OU (as in "how"), and VA (as in "apple). Let the "A" sound
diminish in volume, like the waning vibrations of a gong. The word is not
spoken aloud, but should vibrate in your throat as a background to the sighing,
moaning, and roaring exercises. These vibrations bring the elements to your
assistance. Nature's servants, the air spirits will respond to your commands in
an intensity matching the strength of the whistling sound you make, thereby
calling upon breeze or wind to be invoked. Thus, climatic conditions within a
certain region should change. The name of these mighty spirits to call upon are the spirit
of the blessed light, EL BORAH, and the spirit of wind, WA-AT.
The elementals are nature's servants, not yours. To them, you are like dust.
DON'T EVER FORGET IT.
