Problems Presented:

-What are the possible job titles an Internal Auditor could be hired for? ;
-What are the qualifications of these job titles? ;
-What are the job responsibilities of these job titles? ;
-How much is the salary offered for these job titles? ;
-Are there any opportunities of promotion upon taking such position?
Consolidated Results of the Research:
Upon compiling what the group members have researched, we were able to list
down 20+ possible job titles but only 10 of these were considered unique as to some
entries were deemed to be duplicate of the other. Such unique entries have these job
titles researched:
-

Internal Audit Staff

Junior Auditor
Internal Audit Manager
Internal Audit Head
Senior Internal Auditor
Internal Audit Associate
Audit Officer
Internal Audit Supervisor
IT Internal Auditor
Audit Assistant

As to the qualifications of these job positions, the group was able to notice that
almost all of these job openings require a 2-3 year experience within a related field,
which the group find quite paradoxical because for one to gain experience one must
have experience. Also, most require a license, such as CPA or CIA however, most entry
level positions like junior auditor does not require such but having one would be a great
plus.
The responsibilities of these jobs were most if not all, focused on being able to
analyze risks within the company, being able to do compliance reviews, being able to
investigate frauds happening within the company, being able to supervise and overlook
other internal auditors on their work (specifically as to high level positions such as
Internal Audit Manager, Supervisor and Head) and being able to assess whether the
companys operations were efficient enough. Knowing the job responsibilities, the group
was able to get a grasp of the reason why most positions require an experience within
the audit industry as to some of these responsibilities were not best learned at the four

walls of the classroom but were best learned on the field.

The salaries offered by these positions vary as it ranges from 12,000 40,000
monthly. As what the group had anticipated, the entry levels had the lowest salary
offered but it was very much justifiable by all means. However, the group also noticed
that some positions offer quite a low amount of compensation compared to the required
qualifications, such as one that requires a 5 year experience yet only offers a thousand
or so higher compared to those that only requires a year or three.
Sad to note that out of the 20+ research entries presented by the group
members, none of these were able to present a statement that would prove for an
opportunity for a promotion. As to this, the group thinks that maybe, the reason why this
was not expressly stated upon the forms was that, the company assumes that when
someone is looking for a job, he/she is there for the job itself but not for a hint of a
possible promotion, nonetheless, such thought should occur upon one year of working
within that company if it really does suit your needs.
