Emami Cement is planning a cement manufacturing unit in West Bengal.
Emami Cement is planning a 1.5-2 MTPA cement manufacturing unit & a 10 MW
coal based Captive power project at Panagarh, dist. Bardhaman, West
Bengal on 65 acres. Land has been allotted by the West Bengal Industrial
Development Corporation (WBIDC). The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 4180
million. The project is in a preliminary stage. The company will apply for
environmental clearance shortly. Other details are yet to be finalized. Work on the
project is expected to commence in H1 2016.

Krishnakath Agro Process is planning a integrated sugar plant in dist. Sangli,

Maharashtra.

Project Details: The project will spread over on 20 acres of acquired land.
Project Cost: The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 1,250 million
Project Details: The unit will manufacture candy sugar, a 30 KLD molasses-based
distillery to produce rectified sprit & a 9 MW bagasse-based co-gen power project.
The capacity of candy sugar is yet to be finalized. Out of the 9 MW, 3 MW will be
used for captive consumption & 6 MW will be sold out to Maharashtra State Power
Generation Company. The company is in the process of arranging the finance. Work
on the project will commence after receipt of financial closure.

Yashwant Sugar & Power is planning a molasses-based distillery in dist. Sangli,

Maharashtra.

Project Details: The project will come up along with an expansion of sugar plant &
a new bagasse-based co-gen power plant in the existing 200 acre plant premises.
Machinery is yet to be ordered. The project is in planning stage. DPR is yet to be
prepared.
Current Status: Work on the project is expected to commence in 2016 & is planned
for completion in 2 years thereafter.

Rain Cements is planning a waste heat recovery-based power plant in dist.

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

Location: Boincheruvupalli Village, Peapully Mandal, dist. Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh
Project Details: The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 700 million. The project
will come up in the existing cement plant premises. The project will generate up to 7
MW of gross electrical energy from the waste heat and the flue gases evolved during
the cement manufacturing process. The project that will be financed by a
combination of internal accruals and bank loans is expected to be completed in
about 14 months. The board of directors of the company has approved the project at
its meeting held on 27th February, 2015.

Jaiprakash Associates is planning an integrated cement project in dist.

Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh.

Location: Dalla, dist. Sonbhadra Uttar Pradesh
Project Cost: Rs. 12,000 million.
Project Details: The Project will spread over 67 acres of existing land. The project
will comprise of a 2.20 MTPA clinker plant and a 1.50 MTPA cement plant. This is an
expansion of the cement plant by setting up of an additional clinker and cement
plant. The existing plant has a production capacity of 2.0 MTPA clinker, 0.5 MTPA
cement, 27 MW power along with six nos. captive limestone mines. Limestone will
be received from the mine in same plant.
Current Status: The project is waiting for environmental clearance. Work on the
project will commence after receipt of environmental clearance.

Lakade Cane Sugar is planning an expansion of its Khandsari sugar manufacturing

project in dist. Sangli, Maharashtra.

Orissa.

Project Cost: Rs. 600 million.
Project Details: The project will come up along with an expansion of its sponge
iron plant from 60,000 TPA to 180,000 TPA & ingot plant from 39,200 TPA to 80,000
TPA. Machinery will be partially procured locally and partially imported; orders are
yet to be placed.
Current Status: The project is waiting for industrial clearance. Work on the project
will commence in H1 2015.
