Welcome to a new generation of digital Point of Sale.
Intel is confident that customers are going to find Intel IPOS a useful tool to assist with their new PC purchase. Intel
IPOS is an intelligent tool meaning every PC will now promote itself by playing individually tailored messages.
This version of IPOS will install and run on Windows 8/ 8.1 devices. Windows 7 is still fully supported.
IPOS should NOT be installed on Windows RT based products.
IPOS automatically distinguishes between Intel previous, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Generation Core processors and plays
appropriate content. Tablet form factor content is included to create a seamless in store experience across all PCs
and tablet devices. Bespoke Service Provider content is also exists in this version of IPOS.
IMPORTANT: Please uninstall all previous versions of IPOS before installing the latest version. For the best
performance, ensure no other applications are running simultaneously. It is possible to install another full screen
application alongside IPOS, but to prevent them from interfering with each other, IPOS and/or other application
should be removed from the Windows Startup folder and launched manually.
IMPORTANT: There is no longer a password to exit IPOS. The password to access the IPOS Editor has changed.
Look for the IPOS Editor section of this document for more information.
